Hull City January transfer news and rumours

Transfer window history: Steve Bruce likes to be proactive when it comes to improving his Hull City squad and he has always been backed by owner Assem Allam so the club are likely to do some business in January.

Budget: Having spent heavily in the summer, Bruce will be asked to sell to buy, but if there is a player he wants for less than £8m, he may well be able to ask the owner to fund a purchase

Dream signing: Aaron Lennon. The signing of Tom Ince has not gone well and neither has the gamble taken on Hatem Ben Arfa, so the Tottenham winger would be a welcome addition on the right or left flank

Probable signing: Emmanuel Agyemang Badu is an energetic midfielder at Udinese who could bring some pace to the team in the box-to-box role

Other targets: Andre Ayew, Lee Cattermole.

FC don't need him. I reckon he's more likely to end up at FC.

I don't want any players this window that aren't experienced in the PL. Waste of time, Aaron Lennon - he'd be a fantastic signing - then get his pal Jermaine in. Everyone else can **** off.

Has there been a transfer window since we appointed Bruce where Lee Cattermole hasn't been mentioned as a target for us?

It's quite lazy by the journos really.

Cattermole would be a great signing for us if, referees didn't exist.

I'd take Cattermole, we seemed determined to finish matches with 10 men recentley, so with him in the side at least we could practice. I do think we need a DM if Diame is going to be out for the forseeable future, but perhaps only one in on loan as he'll be back soon enough.

I'm not convinced Lennon would be any good for us. Remember we have Snodgrass to come back in at the end of the season, so forking out another large sum on a winger seems silly.

    such bulls**t

cattermole and this red card thing is nonsense, cattermole is one of the best defensive midfielders in the league.. he should be tried for england

he's absolute f**ing quality, he wouldn't join us in a million years.. this view of cattermole is completely wrong

he would dominate for us... i hope we can sign him, he won't join a **** bruce team

The Aaron Lennon rumour is interesting but i would try a punt on Eion Doyle from Chesterfield.

Give Tom Ince a run in the team when he gets back. He has the talent for sure.

Taking punts on lower league players is exactly what we need to do right now

I agree with you about Ince, it's about time he was brought back, he's a much better option from the bench than what we have at the moment. I'm not totally sure about Eoin Doyle, he's done alright this season, but he's not really been spectacular before, aside from one prolific season at Sligo Rovers. I'd rather he moved to the Championship and see how he did there first. I know Lambert stepped up, but I'm just not sure he's what we need.

I'd like to try for Callum Wilson at Bournemouth, he's really impressed me this season, he's rapid and he's calm and collected when one on one with the goalkeeper. Failing that Deeney or Vetokele would also be worth looking at.

All we need is a striker, we have the players for the tactics Bruce plays. All its missing is a striker preferably a big bastard seeing how we play hit and hope crosses.

only taller and better in air, I think sagbo would be worth a shout for our route one tactics tbh. I do like jelavic though.

Sagbo drifts to the wings too much anyway, he'd be one of the ones crossing it in.

We don't really need another striker, they'd just be competing for a spot with Jelavic (our most prolific striker this season) and Hernandez (our most expensive striker).

Need more creativity in midfield. Which arguably we already have with Brady and Elmo if they were played there.

Sagbo is very good at holding the ball up, infact its the only thing he's good at!! I honestly think all our issues come down to bruce's tactics but i'm not going on a rant about that. For the tactics he want's to play we need an andy carroll style player or it's pointless.
