got to laugh at the 2 minutes
I know we don't want it

but I'm a stickler for the laws of the game
6 substitutes, 3 goals, a few injuries and only 2 bloody minutes <shakeshead>

I'm not convinced Alnwick is going to make it as a first-team professional goalkeeper in any league, he lacks too many things. Still young though.

Personally, I think the defence have been utterly abysmal tonight and, while Jak should have gone better with most of these, I think the back four could probably have saved all those goals as well... Why was nobody following in for the Soldado goal?!
Colo's looked hopeless in the last two games now, and we are basically relying on him being on form for the Derby <yikes>

Let's hope if we don't get 3 points on Sunday then most people we get back on the pardew out campaign which has been left on the side of the road.
Because for me nothing short of a win will be acceptable

That was awful - they weren't even playing well till they were 4-0 up. They have some cracking players but they were there for the taking.

That was a real wasted opportunity. Would much preferred us to play a ful strength team in this one, though that said I'm not sure how we would have done even if we had with Alnwick's confidence seemingly so shot. I don't see how he can play in the derby. He'll be destroyed.

hope they have a claim to get their money back

shocking that they can't handle away support

    https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blog...-newcaslte-fans-are-locked-out-205612728.html

Newcastle United carried 4,200 fans to their League Cup quarter-final against Tottenham, but it's claimed over 1,000 of them did not see the start of the match.

In shocking scenes that brought back bad memories of English football in the 1980s, up to a quarter of Newcastle fans were queuing to get into White Hart Lane well into the second half.

It has also been suggested that Spurs only opened up TWO gates for the gigantic travelling support.

Some Newcastle fans were complaining that White Hart Lane is no longer big enough to host Premier League fooball. You could not blame their dismay.

Not only did the scenes look unpleasant for the fans, they could easily have prompted a crush, a riot or worse as you can see from some of the Tweets below.

    Thats ****ing disgusting.
Spurs should refund the fans the entry plus travel if our lads only got to see 1/4 of a game.
If spurs refuse then if I were Mike i'd charge the spurs lads £100 a ticket when they come up to ours and give £75 to each of our lads who couldn't get in to see the game.
If it means the lads from tonight, many of whom took a day or so off work getting something back then **** it.
Sometimes two wrongs do make a right.

That's right - any one out of 3 you promised so it must be Sunday as that's what I chose. I will expect you to refund my plane fare, train ticket and match ticket if we don't. Comes to a total of 1650quid. Just make sure you have your chequebook with you. Oh and my half time cup of tea and a sandwich on the train. Cheers ACS

If we are going to play Dummett he has to play central. His distribution is awful at fullback. My back four for Sunderland would be Janmaat, Colo, Saylor and Haidara. Big difference between now and earlier in the season was that we are creating chances but thought we were lacking in midfield. Colback plays better with another sitting midfielder like Abeid. We looked unbalanced there. Thought Perez played well again.
