With Janmaat back, I'd go with Colo & Dummy at CB and Haidara at LB. IT's the least dangerous of our options.

Forget that, we can't go in with Alnwick in nets

Can't really blame Almwick for that one. It was a perfect shot.

Krul would have saved it. It wasn't all that well struck. Terrible defending though.

100's of Newcastle fans still outside 30mins after kickoff

    →
100s of Newcastle fans were blocked outside White Hart Lane long after kick off v Spurs [Pictures]

The ticketing and processing of Newcastle’s away fans at White Hart Lane caused major problems on Wednesday night in the Capital One Cup.

Having travelled across the country to watch the Magpies take on Tottenham in the capital, hundreds of Newcastle supporters were still waiting to get into the ground long after the kick off had begun.

According to reports on social media, up to a thousand fans were locked outside Spurs’ ground thirty minutes after the game have begun.

A slew of photos from outside Spurs’ ground were posted on social media, as Newcastle’s supporters were treated badly.

Is Ayoze looking for an early bath? If he isn't looking for a yellow then what was that half arsed shove/charge into the fellow's back?

Ah, back to the usual defending that we know and love. The last month or two has been really strange. However normal service has now resumed.

To be fair to him though, difficult one for him to predict. Cabella only had to touch it and its a goal. A top striker throws himself in hoping but Riviere isn't that. Cabella just difficult to explain, sunday league miss.

Even with all our injuries, these two barely deserve to make the subs bench.

I take it back about Alnwick. No keeper should do that.

Well, I didn't expect to go through tonight anyway. But, bloody hell.

Straight through him. Defending awful. Not at the races tonight. We have not taken any chances that have come our way and they've grown in confidence. Young Alnwick struggling badly and defenders struggling.
