Time has been running out for Ravel Morrison at West Ham for a while now, and it's nearly up. The Telegraph reported on Tuesday that the Hammers are seeking to terminate his contract, and are investigating the financial implications of doing so. Morrison is a huge talent, described by Sir Alex Ferguson as the most naturally gifted player at Manchester United since Paul Scholes, but he was unwilling to put up with off-field behaviour seen as troublesome, and the player was even him taken to court for his misdemeanours. Yet it can't be denied he is an immensely talented footballer, if he can avoid distractions and apply himself. That will see him given another chance somewhere, and why not a club which has limited options? Leeds United have been given a transfer ban, but can still sign players out of contract or on loan deals. The list of players without clubs is a poor selection at present, with most having long-term injury issues. Morrison automatically becomes an enticing option if his release is confirmed and can bring to Leeds what they don't already have - a naturally gifted winger.
