Now that you have signed a team that should help you secure a top 10 spot in League 1, will any of you be coming along for experience of watching a Championship side at work?

I'm there- not that the result matters but I can't wait to see CAFC win there. Finally.

This is all very funny. For two seasons the Spanners get to lord it over us on the basis that they are a league higher than us.

Let's be honest, this time in a year we will be preparing for the Championship and will again be the mightiest team in South London.

We are still the biggest team, after all.

There is still one thing you need to do before you get too carried away lads - and you know what that is <ok>

Maybe he should have a word with his namesake who is doing a fine job with the England ladies!!

You boys should be happy with a mid table finish

    ??

That meant to be an attempt at banter or something? Why would we be happy with a mid-table finish?

It's just a WUM who lacks the humour aspect of WUM'ing.

One thing I'd be worried about if I was a Charlton fan - you seem to be buying a squad of good league 1 players - what will you do if you go up as I'm guessing these players are on long deals?

Guess the bonus is that the majority are young so would have the potential for improvement to hopefully become Championship players in a year

Same logic as Morison - who would have thought he'd have become Premiership within a short space of time when you first signed him

TC, most of our signings have been decent, young League One players who have also attracted attention from The Championship (i.e Green was wanted by Peterborough and Ipswich to name but two, Stephens was reportedly wanted by Southampton and Burnley, etc etc). So hopefully after another year of League One football they will be experienced and would have developed sufficiently to play in the Championship. Besides if that fails, our owners seem to have a bit of cash to spend ;)

Last season Charlton bottomed out. Similarly Millwall peaked. Another season or two of mid-championship mediocrity and you will be calling for Kenny Jackett's head.

Rather than calling for his head, they will probably just remove his head.

Don't think you'll hear our fans say a bad word about Sir Kenny <ok>

Think there were more "Powell out" threads on the Charlton board last season than "Bates or Grayson" out threads on the Leeds board - and that takes some doing!!

I think a bad start and we will see these threads on here too <yikes>

606 and Not606 are not very generalisable in terms of CAFC opinions, a (somewhat small) number of fans on here wanted Powell out last year, yet at The Valley, "Chrissy Powells Red Army" rang out throughout every game, even when we finished at an all time low. The only people Ive ever heard singing "Chris Powell Out" were a small group of wrong'uns at Walsall away who looked more like Millwall fans (sorry!). Personally I'd never seen any of them before, and they were rapidly told to "shut up" "**** off" etc by everyone else.

Admitted Kenny Jackett works wonders at a club with such pitiful attendance figures considering the great work he has done. Something that will not escape the notice of clubs with Premier League aspirations.

Signing Henderson to replace Morison is the beginning of the end <ok>
