I think I've taken Reading to the limit.. I may need a fresh start! Which FM11 save(11.3) should I go with? I've been thinking of France, Italy, etc... anyone?
Yeah Lille sound great with Hazard, Gervinho & Sow. Did a short save with PSG & it didn't go that well.. so I'm not so sure but I'll definitely think about it. Napoli also look great! Smudger.. you think AC Milan worth a punt on 11.3?
I'm not sure, they're good on the original and you can win the CL in your first season if you're mint (), in real life they didnt make any major signings in January but on the game you have to sort the defence out (full backs are poor/old). Dont know how different the update is though.
Yeah, I agree. I only lasted until half-way through the season(I was around 9th) & things just weren't going right(wasn't going to get promotion).. so I decided to go with a Reading save! The best save I've done on FM11 that's for sure! 2014-2015 season now.. and I've managed to get Neymar for 15m & 90k p/w wages! I need a fresh start though, I think I've taken them to there limit unfortunately. First season got promoted, second survived(ended 11th), third ended 13th(although with a higher points tally), fourth season was clearly my best.. ended 5th & qualified for the Europa Cup! Now I'm in the last 32 of the Europa & 7th in the league..
I've bought FM11 online at GAME downloads, it said wait for the second email with the code to unlock the download to the game, it said it should come in the next 8 hours (at 20:30) so I think I'll have a crack at it tomorrow. It is worth it just being the team I support (considering this is the first time I have played a game that focuses on the managing and not the playing), or shall I go for for a small club (like Bristol as somebody suggested)?
I'm about 28 games in and 11th. Had a few injuries to key men but even without them I doubt I'd be enjoying it much. Usually when I get fed up with a team/feel I've done all I can like you have with Reading I look out for another team to jump to on that save! My best ones usually involve managing a couple of clubs. Will fire up a new save tomorrow, not sure who with though.
Depends. If you're good then you'll get a better sense of achievement doing well at a poor club. I tried being Newcastle but found the players werent like they are in real life and that threw me off, I'm Milan now.
I've just started FM 11 and already its going tits up, Tiote's already unhappy, reckons he cant settle.......
I've only started recently, played 6 league games and top of my CL group after 2 games. Won the European and Italian Super Cups.
Those 3 really are quality, Hazard in particular. He will get quite a lot of goals and got in the team of the year a couple of times. Gervinho started scoring loads at the end of my first season and in the second one.
In my brief stint at the toon, he recommended some ****e Ivorian player actually, cost very little. Might be worth it to keep him happy.
Main problem... is that the game is different to real life. When you are Newcastle you expect Jonas to have no end product but be able to beat people, Barton to be a brilliant passer and crosser and generally solid midfielder. None of that ever happens really. At least Shola's still ****e mind.
