Surely the best tackle ever has to be Ledley on Arjen Robben at the Lane ??

One thing I'm not sure if anyone else picked up on is that the winner came from a rare moment of Poch's tactics working: Stambouli won the ball in midfield to create a chance that was saved, but we kept pressing so the defender made a bad clearance and scored from it.

The issue is that it's clear this is supposed to be one of our main sources for creating scoring opportunities, but we're lacking someone we can rely on to do so for 90 minutes of every game.

    Yeah without a doubt.

Ben's tackle was the best we've seen in a good few years but Ledley's one was on a whole other level. To catch Arjen Robben - one of the fastest players in world football - over a number of yards and make an inch perfect tackle is world class. That was as good as watching a 30 yard screamer hit the back of the net. Oh how I miss Ledley.

Always thought that Robben delayed for just a moment too long with his shot.
But that is all Ledley in his prime ever needed.

Is that bid similar to the one that we received for Gareth Bale? If not, then we'll swap him for Bony.

I'd be more than a little upset if we sold Carroll. He's an intelligent player and a good passer of the ball. I hope that Pochettino is looking for him to improve his game off the ball in a defensive sense (in terms of work rate and defensive positioning, not sheer bulking up) while further developing his passing game at Swansea, with a view to his future at Spurs.

We'd have to be a little nutty to sell Carroll, not to say that's unlikely. The best thing that's happened this year has been the continued emergence of young academy products: Kane, Bentaleb and Mason. Surely we'll want to see if Carroll can continue the trend. He and Bentaleb seem like an excellent potential midfield pairing, with complementary skills.
