Not a case of opting for mate, Fehily has taken up stronger rides elsewhere........the end is nigh!

What do you think about the price Value At Risk tomorrow Stick?

Paddies went 11/8, 5/4 now.

Bookies reluctant to price it up, punters reluctant to smash it up, I was thinking 7/4 would be a bit fairer.

Its a decent little test for his debut isn't it Boris but in all honesty it will be a major calamity if he doesn't win on the bridle. I was hoping for a little better but to be frank in my eyes he is an odds on shot. This horse is Festival bound so has to show his credentials here!

Got a feeling for Kaki De La Pree 5/1 in the 12:40 @ Newbury.Others I fancy are Ruzeiz 7/2 in the 3:40 @ Lingfield and Evan Williams newcomer Wabanaki (waiting for a price on this one,any news guys please?) in the 3:30 @ Ludlow.Razor Wind evens looks a sound bet 2-35 Lingfield.

Good luck all.Happy betting.

Edit.......16/1 Wabanaki,so not fancied That will do for me on an each wayer.

Minella on Line Newbury 12.40. 3/1 Less than 2 lengths down in 4th lto but last fence blunder totally screwed him. Better ground should be a positive if the lovely Rebecca is to be believed and why wouldn't you.
Opening Batsmen Ludlow 2.25. 3/1 Won the Racing Post Chase last year off a mark of 140 then lost his way. Decent reappearance in the Badger Ales lto hinted at a return to form. 3 miles off 133 should ensure he gets involved. Win singles and a double. Good luck all.

Really tempted by Walkon today, class horse in the race and I am not sure if the Nicholls horse is as good as the betting suggests. Any views from the forum?

I was thinking the same last night Nass but put it down to sentiment. He has been to Newbury 5 times and never prevailed, I just wonder whether the track doesn't suit him? Have a look at the preview on the Alan King website, they've nursed him back from injury and the Topham is the target. Not sure he'll be 100% for this. Out of the same article I have taken Winner Massagot and Miss Minx for my Lucky 31.

I assume Sir Barney has taken a 2nd mortgage on Chuckle towers and marched with a full wheelbarrow to his local turf accountant to place the lot on Chocca Wocca in the Ludlow bumper ......................

Think it’s a great training performance by Alan King, to get the horse back on the track, following his injury in the Grand National. That was a ridiculous decision by the owners, by the way, to run him in the Aintree race as to use a Chav expression Walkon couldn’t have stayed the GN distance even ‘in the back of Charlie Slater’s taxi.’ He’s actually the ‘super sub’ for the stable in the race as Smad Place had been intended but the trainer now thinks him ‘not quite ready’. No real ‘Sir Brucie Foresight’ myself as to his chances but on official perches Walkon has 7 pounds+ in hand on all rivals. His main target this term is the Topham by the way over a more suitable Aintree trip than the GN.

People, at this time of year we remember the long trip taken by the 3 wise men but today the long journey taken by the forum’s favourite Corinthian takes centre stage. He rides 2 for Daddy Robert Makadamia at Ludlow (12.50) before travelling to get atop The Missus, what a lovely name for a filly by the way, in the ‘lucky last’ at Newbury (3.20). Not going to tip either but I hope dear old Sam secures a double. The latter mount is supremely bred, incidentally, being a sister to Rajdhani Express.

Oddy, has though correctly predicted the one I will put up. I tipped CHOCCA WOCCA last week but unfortunately she proved to be a non-runner. She’s back out in the ‘lucky last’ at Ludlow though (3.30) and I can see only one outcome. Namely a winning racecourse debut. This one is wonderfully bred for the NH sphere being the 1st foal of that brilliant racemare Chomba Womba. Like her 4YO daughter this one also had the privilege of being trained by the forum’s favourite trainer, Mr Henderson, and was a multiple Grade 2 winner for the great man. Chocca Wocca, methinks, could be quite decent.

Good luck one and all.

Best named race of the entire term about to take place over the county line (1.10 Newbury) – ‘Only 8 Sleeps Till Christmas Maiden Hurdle’. Total classic.

If Communicator recaptures his form from the same race last season (3 length second to Jossies Hill) then he’ll win by half the track but will he copy Mr Henderson’s West Wizard and accomplish the very rare feat of finishing runner-up in the same novice hurdle 2 years on the trot?!? You pays your money and you makes you choice...
