So easy to reel in :D

Perhaps the reason you don't hear other clubs 'go on' is because you are not obsessed with them like you are us. So so bitter ellers, so so bitter.

And once again you fall over yourself trying to make multiple points and end up looking a fool. Either we are a big club that has 'thousands of plastics all over the country' or we're not a real big club like West Ham and City...<laugh> What is it then you wally!?

Yep we're all plastics and those 40,000 plus gates we got prior to Roman were just stewards and the tea girl. QPR are a 'real' football club and have an amazing following that are so loud they can be heard from space. 400 at Burton and the poor take to Everton are myths. All those non plastics that filled Wembley for the play off were all in fact at Everton and Burton as well dressed as seats.

No offence to you EalingBlue but it amazes me how many of these so called Chelsea fans were there back in the day when clearly they were not.
You sound like an old school Chelsea fan. Maybe you older lot need to educate some of these 'glory hunters' that infest your club. Continually trying to mock a 'Tin pot' club that 'means nothing to you' really makes you look like muppets.

The good thing about football is that every club at some point has it's day. I remember when Chelsea were s##t in the 80's early 90's and QPR finished top London club. Always liked the Chelsea games, especially 6-0, 3-1, 1-0 (Gallen) but times have changed and now Chelsea are a million miles away from that as are Liverpool who used to win everything. The thing that makes me laugh is when an ex player like Ian Britton comes on at Half time and none of the fans knew who he was; that's really sad. So when people claim to be Chelsea 'through and through' and were there 'back in the day' I just remember poor old Ian Britton whom they seem to have forgot, yet QPR fans knew who he was. Funny thing was that when I came on here on another thread and asked who it was, not one poster could tell me.

    Idiot.
You should change your name to 10 years of history because obviously you don't know your facts.
    This is what I mean!

Why are you now banging on about average attendances? Are you saying we never got 40k before Roman?

And are we a big club or not ellers, you've tripped yourself up and calling me the idiot!! Priceless. Or maybe I'm still an 'armchair tourist' :) You really are the gift that keeps giving.

Well given Britton left the club in 1982, the year after I was born, I readily admit to not remembering him playing for us. FFS :headbang:

Look 10 years you mucked up and now you are trying to worm you way out of it. You tried to be flash claiming that you had all these fans before Roman and facts show you didn't. Man up and take it on the chin. secondly you call your self 100 years of history yet you cant remember 32Yrs ago? I wasn't around when Rodney Marsh was playing or Reg Allen or even the Morgan twins but I know who they are, I don't need to try and big myself up in my name, I am a proper fan who knows his QPR history. Now go away a learn some history of you club and change your stupid name because it makes you look like a right muppet.

So you think my name is reference to how long I've supported Chelsea? How many 100 year old plus people do you know who a. use the internet and b. would waste their time showing up a noob like you?!!?

So what exactly is an 'armchair tourist'?

Read my post, I am not claiming that you are over 100 yrs old.
    God this one is dumb.
Learn more about your history before you start relying to me as you really do sound stupid. <ok>

You said I call myself 100 years of history yet can't remember 32 years ago; therefore surely implying these time periods must be linked, which they clearly are not.

My name is a reference to those that say we haven't got any history when in fact we have wait for it....over 100 years of history. Therefore pointing out to these wallys that 'trophies won' is not the same as 'history' (mostly Liverpool fans). The polar opposite of a glory hunter if you will.

That's not to state I know everything that happened during these 100+ years or every player that played for us. Don't really care that much for what happened before my time really. It's all stats in history books really. I obviously have tales from my father and some old footage of the more notable times in our history but I care a lot more about what I've actually witnessed and what has emotionally effected me about supporting my club.

To imply someone is a glory hunter cos they don't know every player that played for the club essentially before they were born is nonsense of the highest degree. But then you specialise in that don't you ;).

And again...what is an 'armchair tourist'?

Ditto, except it was the year BEFORE I was born (born in 83).
You ask me a question about Chelsea after 1994 and I am your man, or ask me to recognise a player since 1994 and I am your man.
1994 is the first season I vividly remember, including our ass kicking in the FA Cup final, which left me in tears <wah>

Stuff that happened before I was born or when I was a toddler? <doh>

Yeah same, 90's was when I really started following properly and was starting to go regularly in the very early 90's during the tail end of Kerry Dixon's time with us.

I remember the 94 cup run like it was yesterday. I went to every game bar 1 including the quarters and both games at Wembley. Was devastated when we lost having done the double over the mancs that year and played so well in the first half. Will never forgive David Ellery for that 2nd pen!!

My brother also has Peacock as first goal scorer at 7-1 and he hit the bar with a worldie. An 8 quid return in 1994 for an 8 year old would have been epic!!

But such pain stood me in good sted to appreciate the glory soon to follow. Such joys my glory hunting Liverpool and United following mates can never appreciate ;)

No, it's a MUTV wind up of Chelsea fans where they are asked if named players would be good for the Chelsea squad, with the hilarious twist that the players don't exist. Says more that people will say anything to get on TV. As you know, every Utd fan has a huge IQ.

Basically they make up all these false players and ask Chelsea fans what they think of them. Its a classic with many saying they have watched them play!

I'm asking why Elsie thinks all fans should know all about the clubs history? There are people who go just to enjoy a team playing great football, why would they need to know about Roy Bentley or the dog / speedway track or Walham Green. Its only us more mature fans that know that and times have changed.
