Please let us win this one.

Trouble is I so can't visualise us in a semi final. So much so that I put the whole £50 left in my online betting account on Spurs to go through (at stupid odds of 4/11 so I'm not going to get rich) just so I can get something out of it if we lose. Happily lose it all and much more to see us get through.

I think it was a combo of Sheff Utd getting a mention and seeing what a ****er he was last night.

I might also add Chris Morgan is a massive **** as well.

Be lovely if we get Sheff U if we got through. Oe would it? They have a fantastic cup record in recent years. Cloughie really stuck it up Koeman who is beginning to look a bit beleaguered. Tough old game over, you've never quite cracked it. Only Jose consistently meets expectations.

If we get through, and it's a big if then Sheff Utd have to be the preferred choice. In a one off game anything can happen, but over two legs then every Prem team should be beating every League One team. Over two legs we should definitely have the quality to get through.

I'm really doubting if we'll go through tonight though, and if we do we'd be almost certain to draw Chelsea given our luck with domestic cup draws.

Agree on both counts. We could have done with this fixture 2 weeks ago or so. Now they look to be slowly taking on his methods. Personally I think outside their strikers (who aren't terrible by any stretch) they have an incredibly strong squad. We have to be near our top level to have a chance. Certain to get ****ing Jose if we do pull it off!

Agreed Gully, plus Tottenham seem to be starting to hit a bit of form. Good win at Swansea on Sunday.

Got to say I'm disappointed with that team. Seems like he is prioritising the derby unless there are more injuries that we don't know about. Hope I'm wrong.

Nothing on the bench to change the game other than Armstrong possibly.

Where is Taylor? Where is Sammy?

To be honest glad that Sammy is getting a break, but agree with the rest. Wonder if Roberts will get a runout, heard good things.

I thought Anita might have played RB tonight. Also surprised he is resting Taylor when he's just had a rest through suspension.

Still, I was disappointed with the team we put out at City - so maybe, just maybe.......

    Pardew out,

He should have picked the strongest team possible tonight.
F@ck the Mackems, it's only a poxy league game and I'm not bothered whether the multi digited, soap dodging bastards beat us or not, they'll always be in our shadow.
For f@ck sake it's a great chance to win a trophy

To be fair we could win tonight and draw Chelsea. Still should have gone for it more though because we could get Sheffield United and if Liverpool win they could beat Chelsea over two legs.
