I think Lallana is a good player, but in the second rank of players...it is his nationality that added the few extra thou.
I disagree. From the prices we have seen this summer for a player with 4 years left on a contract and on the back of showing what he can do in 'The World's best League' I think they paid the going rate. However if you want to buy a player you buy them for a role or at least see if he can be adapted. I would say similarly Sterling, Coutinho now they have shown what they can do in this league have similar 'price tags' as will Tadic if he has a good season.
Just to add to the 'No-one will pay £40m for Schneiderlin' or the 'He may be worth that to us but no-one will pay it' an excerpt from the fail's match report: It was a fabulous night for Southampton and their 5,000 travelling fans as they marvelled at the swagger of Morgan Schneiderlin in the centre of midfield. He was electrifying.
I wonder if his mind will be slowly changing- the gap between the Saints, Liverpool, Man Utd does not seem so big any more - they are not that much below us
He's making history..! Got a little concerned about you earlier Fran when you stopped posting for a while. Hope you're OK now.
Yes, BP got a little high, so went for a rest, but fine now. I'm coming to the QPR game, but hoping that will be a doddle
Good news. If they play like they did tonight your only trouble will be from getting too excited at the thought of turning better teams than QPR over.
He was walking off at FT having applauded the fans and his chant got going... (Morgan Schneiderlin, tra la la la la...) Morgan turned back, walked back over to the fans, clapped the corner and then the ones behind the goal, gave a thumbs up and walked off clapping.
probably won't be going in january but i'm looking forward to a glut of interviews implying that he's off in the summer though. those will no doubt be fantastic for supporter and squad morale.
whether they know it or not, it won't help to be reminded of it. they didn't have the mentality to keep their feet on the ground. the tired excuse seems overused to me.
