Not to say i'm defending his lack of humanity on the subject but you could read that as a back handed criticism of the rest of Australia's press rather than straight praise of his own. I don't read enough of his posts to know whether he leans towards praise or criticism.

Wonder why it has taken me so long to realise that Eamonn Holmes is a bumptious git. Some fanatics think these people are martyrs, I don't think so, most religions would tell you, all you really have is another dead terrorist, the best kind.
The trouble is that they don't believe in education (or thinking) other than study of the Qu'ran, and that being available to only 50% of the population. Hence why Malala was attacked too, so a school to them is a worthwhile target. It's.....well.....it's just indescribably barbaric on so many levels.
It's very sad that a people who were once renowned for knowledge and education have turned their back on education. Not lumping them altogether, but how daft is it to bar one half of your population from schooling. I cannot even begin to imagine what it feels like to be intelligent and only permitted to read the Koran. I think I would go mad. And then they wonder why they are falling behind the rest of the world.
