    You need to wilfully ignore the terrible plot and ****e acting in Sons of Anarchy - their trip to Belfast was particularly bad. I still managed to watch all 7 seasons mind.

    I don't think they strung out BB for too long. The fly episode was the only one where it dragged.

    I gave up on SOA after a couple of episodes. Justified was another series I tried but couldn't get in to.

    I prefer US series to UK ones but unfortunately the benchmark that the Sopranos set can make good programmes appear not so good when compared with the Sopranos.

    That's not to say there are not plenty of good shows around, there are, but there are so many you have to be selective.
