Excellent - is it contract work - and if so, what kind (programming, ops, etc)? I'm painfully insecure about where I'm going next - logical brain says that there's a million options and it's exciting - emotional brain is highly stressed (not helped by excessive wife stress).

It's not about money really, I just play the cartoon villain with tax etc, but my ultimate endgame is choosing lifestyle at some point, getting rid of the 50 hour weeks and taking up golf or some ****. At which point I'll probably kill myself, mind. Happy days. I know a fella here who ports legacy VBA from Excel to C# in financial firms and does quite well - he only needs 6 months work a year to get by very comfortably, which sounds like an attractive way to get by.
