Rangers will be keen to put to bed an alarming run of form on the road, that has seen them lose seven in a row since the start of the 2014/15 Premier League campaign. Everton will no doubt provide a stern test for Redknappâs side, yet the Toffees havenât â to date at least â been at their brilliant best in front of their own supporters so far this term. Indeed, Roberto Martinezâs side, who head into tonightâs fixture in 13th place, have won only two of their seven home fixtures so far, with wins against Aston Villa and West Ham United. Rangers will be minus the services of top scorer Charlie Austin for the trip to Merseyside, with the striker serving a one-match suspension owing to the red card he received against Burnley last weekend. That could mean Eduardo Vargas plays in his preferred striker role, with Junior Hoilett, Jordon Mutch and Matty Phillips likely to be in contention for a starting berth. The Toffees will also be without a regular starter in the shape of Gareth Barry, who is also banned for one game after picking up five bookings. please log in to view this image Possible Starting XI's please log in to view this image - - - please log in to view this image Lukaku v Vargas please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Lukaku's & Vargas's other halves - Julia Vandenweghe & Daniela Colet PRE-MATCH TALK - EVERTON V QPR R's skipper, Joey Barton: "We want to give a good account of ourselves. "We've lost seven out of seven on the road and, without wanting to make excuses, we haven't been to the easiest places - everyone has been in the top ten at the time we've played them. "We haven't played the teams around us. That will be the test for us, but we're very mindful that we've got to improve our away form." Blues boss, Roberto Martinez: "QPR had a little bit of a difficult start because obviously when you get new players you're trying to find the right combinations. "I think Harry Redknapp now has found the right formula and they are in the best moment of their season. They've been unfortunate in a couple of games, I think they should have had more points than what they've got. "I know they've got Charlie Austin missing for this game but I think this group are in a good moment and we respect them hugely." Boss thread, well done fella Our likely starting XI will be; Howard Coleman, Jagielka, Stones, Baines Besic, McCarthy Mirallas, Barkley, Eto'o Lukaku
Brill 9'sey...... In a strange sort of way that's not a bad lineup, even with Ferdinand in the side.......pace out wide which is something we have lacked, Fer & Ed in their preferred roles....almost makes one confident......Don't expect Harold to select that side though!!!!!!
Good stuff Rich Come on lads lets get our first away point 0-0 that will then make the papers talk Good luck Harold you bastard
Terrific thread, Nines. Vargas's girlfriend looks fit particularly since she's just given birth - explains the loose T shirt. Big opportunity for Vargo if he's up there on his own - given the service, we know he can put them away
I quite like your line up nines, although I would prefer Hoilett in front of Yun. Any reason why you left Dunne out?
Have to say now feeling super confident having had a couple of hot whiskeys (Irish, not Scottish), purely medicinal trying to shake off a cold bug you understand........ C'mon U R's
Who says on Twitter? This afternoon on 5 Live they were reading out unattributed twitter comments about the Sydney hostage taking. Pranites. Thats not news its just time wasting gossip.
To give him a rest. Not sure that we can afford to leave him out but if we play away like we have done this season it won't make much difference anyway. I've just seen Totally's post above. It may well be Ferdinand and Dunne now. Although it could well be any combination of Ferdinand, Dunne, Hill or Onouha or maybe even a back three. I wonder if Caulker is out due to a head injury.
Oohh looks like some attacking potential there, are we actually going for it??? think I'd prefer Kranky in there in place of Mutch but we'll see.
Balls! Look at that, you wait all season for a winger then two come along at once. Fer playing in his proper position, Mutch and Barton fight for the Henry role...... Presumably thats 4-5-1 without the ball, 4-3-3 with it. Aaaah, let me dream...... COME ON YOU R's!!!!!!
Henry should be playing, but at least Hoilett gets a start. He'll need to help Yun against Coleman. I think Isla will have his hands full on the other wing, as he won't get the same help from Phillips against Baines!
