I agree Bob, made up his mind whilst all the others were content to plod and see what would happen at the last. He out thought them by stealing a lead which they could not quite make up at the last. Sign of a good jockey that, anyone can see if the horse they are on is good enough but a good jockey finds ways of creating the result he wants.

I notice the Godolphin horse who your horse ran against last week is running in the next at Wolverhampton Stick. It should hose up at 1-5 but definitely ran like something was not right last week, madness anyone taking that price. Do you have the handicap mark for your lad through yet?

These all weather tracks are real heartbreakers - I had a really good bet running up on Almanac in the last, however drawn wide he was never able to get a position but finished really well down the outside. It's hard to know that you would likely have won but for the draw. It's also unlike Chester as it is entirely possible to break well and be relatively inconvenienced by the draw as horses do win from wide draws often. Unfortunately it all depends on the break and you never know how the cards fall until they have broke. Oh well, another day.

It was a different horse today Stick - that's what I thought it may have done last week and was a little worried of your fella getting too close. As it was something went wrong last week as even if the winner last week is potentially smart he would not have left that Godolphin horse for dead as he did.

What are you expecting for your fella 62 - 66 ?

The horse is a nutcase Bluesky. That is why they had it gelded. Before its second start it got in a muck sweat. We were confident that we would beat it last week, it was in a first time hood and really resented having that on. They took it off today and frankly the opposition today was poor with a capital P.

Christmas will have come early if we get less than 70 Bluesky! My money would be on 73.
