Allen and Lallana should have done so much better for the first goal. Coutinho will be the scapegoat for letting Rooney run but I thought we had a DM who should help in these situations? Maybe not. I agree. I watched allen do a **** job and gerrard ball watch whereas never mind coutinho tracking gerrard should've seen the run. Our midfield was completely overrun. Allen was poor but he had no help from Moreno (disappointing from the lad). And plus he was sat next to Gerrard and doing his work as well. Henderson continues to show everyone how technically limited he is - good player to have the in squad but offers very little on the ball bar a few passes. The midfield was crying out for a battler/physical presence - if only we had one? Oh wait .. How Can does not get game time is beyond me?
I don't understand why Markovic doesn't get a run in the team. For the very brief time he was on the pitch against Basle he looked like he was actually prepared to drive forward and try and create something.
I have to say can but be terrible in training but I dunno... I can't understand why he's not even got 15mins somewhere.

He started off very slowly - wasn't help by the fact that Rodgers played him RW which is not his position. To be fair to Rodgers, he took Markovic out of the firing line and it's starting to help. Markovic's confidence took a beating but some positive cameos should mean he starts against Bournemouth. Against the Mancs, he made one good run and played a brilliant throughball to Mario.
It's ridiculous mate. Rodgers has some good players at his disposal but is reluctant to use them effectively. These are young lads who need to be playing and developing. Dropping them for no reason after a good performance is not the way.

I also agree that players coming in, playing once then dropping out while others get in is bad. I think Markovic has now played his way into the team and he should get a start against Bournemouth. Hopefully Sakho is back and we can get Lovren out of the team. He's made 7 errors that have led to goals this season which is the most for any player in Europe. Not only that, he's made around 15 in total which he has been indirectly involved in (i.e. through poor positioning).
Almost agree. There are players who simply should not be starting for Liverpool, full stop. Migs is debatable purely because the back up we have is sh*t. Allen has been poor but he can rotate with Henderson. Lallana can rotate as well. The 100%'ers who should not be playin are Johnson, Lovren, Skrtel, Gerrard. But listen, if Rodgers keeps playing them, he has not right to complain about defending and conceding 2-3 every game.
the only rotating lallana and allen would be doing for me is through a turnstile on their way to the seats i the stand they would have. If rodgers keeps playing them his job is gone.
Sounds very familiar to when he was with Lyon, constant errors leading to goals and almost all down to positioning. When the committee reject him at £10m I thought we'd had a lucky escape, £20m is just criminal. Its hard to believe that the same reasons used to say no weren't brought up again, he wasn't even that great at Soton it was another case of a player at a mid table club becoming over hyped for the games where the team did well and the media actually paid attention to them. Its a similar story for Lallana, his contribution yesterday was to make one good pass to Sterling other than that he did nothing all game and offered even less. Yesterday was not the first time either, he flatters to deceive. We have essentially paid £24m for a player has one good moment every other game and can only last 50mins.
Completely agree. Lovren was voted into the 'Worst Team of The Week' a record amount of times during his time at Lyon, which in itself says a lot. When the committee had the control, we rejected him. But Rodgers gets more control this season and lo and behold, we end up signing him for £20m haha. And agree on Lallana - I think he's a decent squad player but he's all style and no substance. But he 'works hard' so fans won't say anything and end up focusing on Mario instead Lol!
Lovren had a good few months for Soton but that was because he was protected by arguably the best CM duo in the league. Once Wanyama was out injured, Soton struggled last season and Lovren was exposed for the fraud that he is. But having said that, Lovren isn't helped by having a nothing defender right next to him. Lovren is supposed to be a leader but do you really think that a 29 year old Skrtel is going to pay attention to him? I remember a few times when Lovren is trying to push the line further up and Skrtel didn't listen. The whole defensive unit is a shamble and needs replacing. Funny thing is, we already own the components that could be successful: Manquillo - Toure - Sakho - Moreno With Can sitting in front of them.
