Good Morning Everyone, It was great putting faces to names on Saturday. We really do have some awesome group of fans that make up the Not606 Leeds Utd forum. The game itself, well, that's a different matter. (Its enough to drive you to drink) Even though things started brightly, and we had the majority of chances in the first half, there was an underlying feeling at half time that we would rue our missed opportunities, and we did. Fair play to all the loyal season ticket holders who arrive in their droves come rain or snow, I got a little experience of what you have to endure every week, and it aint pretty! Wearing my neutral hat, I reckon a 1-1 draw would have been a fair result. Unfortunately, when Fulham scored, we did not look like returning the favour. What bothered me me then anything is that the Leeds players did not seem bothered, almost as if they didn't particularly want to be there, and that is not fair for the 27,000 Leeds fans (and the 150 fulham fans) that made the trip up. Leeds 60, Olof, Chesh, Parnee and friend (get him on the forum), Eire, Shaks and especially Glory who went out of his way to look after me, thank you so much for a lovely day. I promise I really enjoyed myself....
I am wiping a tear. One bit of good news, due to someone being a lightweight I have put £100 back in the bank this morning. The Mrs was so happy that she didn't make us watch X factor or SPOTY!! Instead we watched the film adaptatation of an Oscar Wilde classic The Ballad of Reading Jail.
Morning all. Really pee'd off I missed the meet up. Heyho, saw the highlights & it didn't look quite as bad as has been suggested. Their 'keeper made a couple of fine saves. Had those gone in, different story. Not sure why Montenegro isn't getting a game, or Del Fabro. Might be time to send them home. Think we might get a couple of more experienced players in the January transfer window. All we need is Sharp starting with Antennucci & a bit more luck. Keep the faith one and all MOT
I wouldn't say that the players don't look bothered it's just that most of them aren't very good and confidence is low. It would also help if our defence could play and Bianchi didn't leave Byram to do all the work. Thought Adryan was ok but he should have buried that header instead of fannying out when he saw the keeper coming close. We gifted them that goal which has been our downfall all season. Antenucci was pretty much non existent apart from a brief 10 minute spell in the 2nd half. From where I was sat it looked like Silvestri was to blame for the goal but looking back on tv later on at night his back four let him down, again! He didn't look to confident from what I saw and his hair looked stupid but was an improvment from his braided hair that he had in the summer. Sharp looked well up for it when he came on and we need to start him over Doukarra when we play Forest this weekend Warnocks injury that he sustained to his hamstring isn't thought to be as serious as first thought. Team needs strengthening in January but with this transfer embargo looming it's looking doubtful. I imagine Mowatt will be on the radar of a few PL clubs as well? He's someone we need to pull the stops out to keep if we're going to stay up in this division. I heard people calling for Redders to go on the weekend after the match. What planet are some fans on?? 4 out of our next 5 games are away from home I believe? Wigan is a must win on Boxing Day
Morning Boggers, their keeper looked a liability, The header crashed against the bar, and almost went in off the keepers head.... Shame you couldn't make it. There's always next time
Morning Grogger. I'm not a Bianci fan but it seemed to me Byram does very little work... I like Adryan, but I think with him, he's either on form or not. Unfortunately, on Saturday, he was not... I'd agree with you on Silvestri. He came out off his goalline, left the goal unmanned, so Fulham could tap it into an empty goal
Nothing wrong with Warnock's hamstring. He wasn't well... Elland Back retweeted please log in to view this image Stephen Warnock @StephenWarnock3 · Dec 13 Poor result and poor performance today. Not pulled my hamstring I wasn't feeling well during the game and got dehydrated and cramped up.
Morning mate I was sat in the north east lower. Adryan was the best of a bad bunch and he was trying. You're right though he's either on form or not. I can't figure out why he was subbed off though? I'm still angry about that header he could have buried! Courage is something he's going to have to work on. Byram isn't the player he first was when he came on the scene but he'll get back to it and some!! Thought he played well and had to take matters into his own hands a few times by having a couple of shots outside of the box. He tried to work a few good crosses in but no one was getting in the box for them.
You should have met up with us!!! Think all the players are missing some 'northern grit'. Byram is not good at the moment. Exactly when we were getting forward down the flanks, nobody was in the middle
Morning all. Great meeting everybody on Saturday, pity about the game. Ive come to not expect much when we play so wasnt surprised. One annoying point was our standard of crossing. In the first half particularly, as I was close to the action in that half, our crossing was pitiful. We actually had several opportunities to get quality blls into the box from close to the endline but messed up nearly every one of them. As for that attempted header from Adryan, shocking. As someone said, he was clearly afraid of messing up his hairdo. Enjoyed the banter with the Fulham lot. Back to my armchair for the Forest game
Good morning to Matt and co from a sunny Cote de Bardsey Well it will be interesting to see the team sheet on Sat I will be watching the game from the New Inn at Wetherby we really need a team of fighters will a strong mental attitude when playing away so this leaves out Doukara Dawson ans perhaps ADRYAN i SEE that Gray the young boy I wanted us to buy scored 3 on Sat for Brum so thats put his fee up !I do hope he doesnt do a Zaha and sign for a top 4 club it will be the worst thing he can do far better playing for us At ;east Sharp showed that we have someone who can head a ball Doukara is over 6 feet yet he jumps less than 2 feet he really needs to push his wieght about very disappointing
