Great man, great player. A few on here could take heed of his words: “The fans need to relax a little bit. They are only a few points from the play-offs, three wins and they are in the top two,” says Holt. “What the fans need to remember, and I know they are getting a little bit frustrated with Neil, is they just have to bide their time. I know Neil and Gary Holt well, I played with Gary (at Nottingham Forest) and I got on great with Neil and I was the one beating the drum for him to get the job. I firmly believe he will do a good job. He just needs to be given the time." Will we listen?
Since Adams brought in Cueller at cb we have looked much stronger ,who on here would have made that change leaving Turner out?. That's why he is our manager he knows the players and makes the calls and that one was genius after 2 clean sheets and a plus 6 gd in 2 games.
I have been waiting for him to get a start to show what he can do. Apart from the first couple of minutes on Sat, he kept Holt pretty subdued despite Hot's best efforts to outmuscle him at every opportunity. Saturday against Derby will be an excellent test and looking forward to watching the game on Sky.
I wouldn't get too carried away with the last 2 results. It's interesting pretty much everyone was saying Turner had been our best player, now Adams has left him out and we've won a couple of games, which we really should be winning if we want promotion and its because he's benched Turner. Maybe it's got more to do with staring with O'Neil & Hooper along with Johnson coming back to full fitness. As I've said before with a few exceptions it's not our defending that was causing us problems it was our inability to score. Martin has cost us more goals / points than Turner did, but he still starts at CB because he seems to be one of the favoured one's. It'll be interesting to see what happens when Bennet's fit.
