Again. At what point did you expect to beat the wall. You had chances, plenty. Every single one of them was stopped by the wall. So what exactly would you have done differently? Had you been putting them wide or something then maybe there is a discussion to be had. You didnt though. Tye Manchester united goalkeeper (the wall) wasnt letting yiu score at all. Nothing you could have done would have changed that.
The save against Balo was real good, both of them. Sterlings three were terrible finishes. But regardless of 'brilliant goalkeeping' or poor finishing, we should of made more of the chances we had given to us, simple as that. But I thought we played well.
3 1 on 1 with the keeper and awful finishes, and Badon not being able to find the onion sack from 6 yards. OK whatever tobes, we were not good today but we had enough chances to win the game and took none of them.
De gea has saved every one on one hes had this season i think. Aguero v city twice was probably the best striker he came up against. Might not be entirely accurate but the point still stands.
Erm finish better? ... Quite a funny argument - De Gea was never going to be beaten. Nice objective view right there (!)
Yet Sterling still kicked everything right at him. All he had to do with his first was roll it into the far corner but he opted to roll it to De Dea instead, reminded me of Spuds where he beat 4 players and kicked the ground 4 yards out from goal The lad couldn't finish to save his life
You really could not have done more bow. You loads of chances. Its funny how arsenal, saints and liverpool had around 50 chances at goal yet only two goals were scored. Maybe its something to do with out keeper beings amazing?
What other than play a competent striker - or even a striker! De Gea was very good, but a quality finish will always beat a goalie.
You would think so. Then de gea saves it and your whole out look on tye world is flipped upside down.
Sorry peeps but you really can't predict what "could" have happened. One goal scored and the game goes in a new direction, different game, different chances. Who the fck honestly knows what would have happened. I thought that Johnson going off was a blessing in disguise for Liverpool. Allen and Henderson were awful, Gerrard had a terrible game, and that would have always been an advantage for us even IF you had scored. Onthe flip side, maybe a goal to bring it back to 2-1 when Sterling had the chance may have shifted the momentum and not allowed us to get back into the game perhaps resulting in a 2-2 draw??? Either way, who honestly knows. There's arguments either way. In the end, the way things played out, United played well enough to win.
You're going a bit wild mate. He is a great goal keeper but he has let goals in before, and will continue to do so despite how good he is.
If we had di maria on the pitch its a far worse day for you guys. We wouldn't have even needed the wall. Some fullbacks too. Imagine they played. I can only go off what i saw and what i saw was a goalkeeper who wasnt conceding today. No matter what.
