Itâs that time of the year when the game come thick and fast with 4 games in 16 days to look forward to thatâs 12 points up for grabs which would be enough to take us to the magic 50 points target and what a nice Christmas present that would be. It all kicks of when the Shrimpers visit Adams Park with curse of the month winner Phil Brown in charge lets hope the curse continues, our home form leaves a lot to be desired having not won at home for nearly 2 months abet having only played 2 home league games so the lads owe us a performance. Apart from long term absentee Gary Doherty Gaz has a full squad to choose from so no excuses this week. I will be at AP for this one for the first time for seven long weeks looking forward to seeing a good game of football and 3 points for the Blues
huge time to score that goal - now we need to go for a third after half time cause southend sound too dangerous to sit back on
Before kick off i thought this would be one of our hardests tests so far but to come back to lead 2-1 at H/T and hitting the bar shows we don't give up like last season. Pleased to see Matt mcClure score aa well. Going to be a nailbiting second half.
We want 5! Top scorers in League 2 now and only 3 defeats the lowest in League 2. Happy as a pig in poo right now!
What a cracking game this is. Thoroughly enjoying this one. And Luton 3-0 down against Morecambe. 2 points clear whatever happens. Another goal would be very nice
Cambridge 0 Shrews 0 Wycombe top by 2 points from Burton, with a game in hand and 4 points clear of Shrews and Luton
the manager of the month curse strikes again - phil brown won it last time out! Gaz seems to have been nominated pretty much every month, but hasn't won it yet, long may that continue!
having seen the goals from yesterday, I have to say what a superb finish from McClure for the fourth, although they were all excellent. The less said about the defending for southends goal the better, but I suppose that has to go down to not getting going early enough. On another note, I hear the southend fans moaned about their red card. I cant understand it - on the replay it looks one of the clearer red caards you will ever see
Agree, all excellent goals but Matt's second was superb. Would happily have taken a point from this game so well done Blues! Next three games are extremely tough and if we take 7 points from those then it will be happy days indeed. Looked a red card to me too and i dont think they will bother appealing it.
