Formations only matter when a team is capable of holding one I predict we will try 5 formations today and get pulled all over the pitch Valencia will destroy Moreno unfortunately if we try 3/5/2 cos frankly if we let utd get 2 down that wing to one of ours?
that's the type of formation i reckon would have suited Kelly or Wisdom to play in. Johnson will get forward too much, worry if that formation is true. meant to highlight johnson in the back 3 one!! ffs!!!
Who wants to bet that now we aren't playing Lambert, we'll get down the wing and put about 30 crosses in for Stelring today
I agree, but this is basically a massive vote of 'no confidence' for Mignolet. It may be a test from Rodgers. If Mignolet can't react to being dropped then he's out the door.
Aha, it would be the Liverpool way. Totally expect that to happen. Then when Lambert/Balo comes on at 65 mins we'll stop and try and play it to feet. Because logic.
The idea that Lambert is a striker who feeds off crosses is half the reason why he isn't scoring. Ask any Southampton fan and he works best with the ball on the floor, linking play up top and getting the odd goal himself. He's not a big target man, never has been. The fact that Rodgers hasn't spotted that is quite worrying.
Pretty clear now that we'll be looking for a new keeper in Jan. Didn't think Mings did alot wrong against Basel so its odd that Rodgers has only just now decided to drop him. I'd have dropped him after the Palace or Ludo games.
Agreed. Mignolet may have started thinking he has started improving in the last few games - and thud goes the guillotine!
Not really... keep saying as a 3rd/4th choice striker he's a good option. Just he's unfortunately had to lead the line for the last month due to injuries and add poor form elsewhere he's looking like a poor player. Beating Jones in the air to a storming heading
Just watching the build up the 2-2 when Cantona returned was just on, the Fowler goals were fantastic!
