If we had a bloody keeper that can challenge Mingolet then great but Jones is an accident waiting to happen and all Rodgers has done is take any shred of confidence left from Mingolet. Johnson? No Lucas? I have no confidence in the manager.
Why would you drop him against Utd? Thats madness, Jones best had a good game and not make any mistakes because if he does the knives will be well and truly out for Rodgers. Does he want to be sacked? (He should just for continuing to pick bloody Johnson)

Well we saying he wouldn't shake things up much - and he has! I actually think the line up is quite good. Giving us as much options as possible up front. Attack best form of defence against this United team.

United are not a particularly strong side physically but they do have some craft. We cannot allow them to much possession but they wont knock us around if we run at them either. Its a team designed for keeping the ball and hitting them on the break. Lots of good passing players.
We have no striker, you have no full backs. Could be interesting. Our full backs could be key is this game. We also need to pull your defenders out of position as often as we can.

We're going to get ripped apart down our right side. Johnson will be in no mans land and will lose the ball, skrtel will come over and do noting and they'll run right through Allen.
Mignolet has been awful, so good on Rodgers recognising that and making a bold change in a big game. Jones can't be any worse but he's got a huge opportunity to stake a claim for a regular starting spot now and I hope he takes it. I don't think either Rodgers or Jones can lose here tbh. At the very least, he might be a bit more commanding in the area and give the defenders some confidence - he does seem more vocal. I would have kept Lucas in the team though...we'll miss him Rest of the team isn't great, but at least we have some creativity in the team with Coutinho and Lallana. Not sure where the goals will come from, but this team could be much worse...
