the problem we have is that we need to keep playing Tiote to help maintain his transfer value... but when he plays he's ****.....
catch 22 here... I'd bench him for Abeid personally.

Def because we all know Tiote will be horrifically frustrating next week.

Pardew will get proper respect from me if he has the courage to drop him.

Tiote was very poor. His awful free kick was the cause of them winning their penalty.

We were poor but it was pleasing that we hung in there and never gave up. I think 3-1 would have been a fairer reflection. Cisse's miss proved costly, go in 1-1 at the break and we'd have been full of belief, they'd have been booed off and we'd have had a chance. As it was we were well beaten second half, no shame in that though.

It's the next two games that matter and for once I feel for Pardew. If he plays a strong team against Spurs and we lose both games he'll get hammered. If we play a weak team in the cup and beat Sunderland he'll get hammered as people will say he should have played a strong team in both. Any defeat to sunderland and he'll get hammered. He pretty much has to win the Sunderland game to come out unscathed, it's just a case of if he can do that and get a result at Spurs.

Next two games could define his season and possibly career with us IMO.

But as we all know both him and MA couldn't give a feck what the fans think! So we could get trounced by both the spuds and smb's and yes we would be pretty pissed off but won't affect Pardew in any shape or form.

Pardew could walk into fat Mike's mansion... drop a curler onto Fat Mike's breakfast plate whilst the rotund one is dining.. whilst wearing an 'I love Dave Whelan' T shirt and still not get sacked.

The sad truth is that we have a section of fans who will want to hammer him even if he wins both games. You''re right about the no-win situation. He will have to just do what he thinks is best and not listen to us - after all, which of us is it that he is supposed to listen to when so many groups are saying different things?

Am I the only one who can see the paradox with the highlighted part as:

    1) if he does do what he thinks is best then he will be doing just as you told him to i.e. listening to what one section of fans wants him to do

    and

    2) if he doesn't listen to any section of fans then clearly he can't do what he thinks is best as he won't be listening to you telling him just to do what he thinks best.

Clearly Pards in a no win situation.

It all becomes so clear. The clues, the hints, they all fall into place. Why on earth could I not see this until now?!?!

And your thinking that getting a clean sheet would mean you won.

That was a double bluff to throw us off. Less Hope is quite clearly KGB.

No doubt Willo is not good enough. It should have been sorted in the summer. To be fair though, he wasn't that bad against Arsenal. Colo was absolute pony.

We had 4 centre backs in the summer. Colo is good enough (it was a bad day at Arsenal) but injury prone. Mbiwa didn't want to be here and couldn't cut it in the league regardless how it gets dressed up. Saylor has the ability but is a ****** at times. Willo is a championship centre back. Any other club looks at that, sells Willo and Mbiwa, signs a first choice and promotes a youngun or buys one. We loan out one useless **** and do **** all else. Why? Because the owner believes we can scrape by. We can but its still stupid.

I accept Saylor has been very good when fit this season but the **** is always injured or capable of stupidity. We needed a solid centre back. Ashley Williams, Shawcross, someone of that ilk.
