Pretty much summed it up there. I think Neville and Scholes are being honest, albeit brutally honest, because they wouldn't have stood for this type of performance when they were still playing. They still hold Utd to the type of high standards SAF drilled into them for years, so can't help being critical of us when we've been so unconvincing this season. Same reason they don't criticise England - a decade of being getting used to England being utter ****e leaves them with pretty much nothing new to say. Meulensteen and Phelan on the other hand are just bitter about being ditched by Moyes, and overlooked by LVG. Must be pretty galling for them to be squeezed out of the club as soon as SAF left, then have every man and his dog recognise how badly we missed them last season, and then still get overlooked when the club tries to fix Moyes' mess.
