Navan listed bumper Attribution 7/2 I'm surprised to see 7/2 third fav about Attribution tomorrow. He ran Bellshill to a neck lto and seemed to have improved hugely from his debut run. The race has been franked this week. Bellshill is expected to take high order in the bumper ranks this year and I expect Attribution will need to be very competitive in this to back that up.
The 12.55 is a great renewal. No More Heroes is well thought of but imho, will be better as a chaser. It means Shaneshill is 5/6. Depends how you see value but you could argue that's a value bet. You could also argue the same for No More Heroes at 5/2. I'll probably back Shaneshill but not decided yet. I'll update you all after the race.
2:05 Navan - Dysios 20/1 2:45 Southwell - Zelos Diktator 20/1 Put both these up last time they ran at huge prices and think they're both well worth a go ew tomorrow at 20s
Really not quite sure what they are doing with Ad Item. I tipped him up at 20's for the Troytown a couple of years ago when he got nutted on the line He actually ran a decent race FTO this season and at 40/1 i'm going to have a small play..the trip won't suit but hopefully the ground gets deep. You never get dropped more than a pound in Irish H'caps, which he has done, and with the excellent Brian Hayes shedding another 3lb's he's worth a look. 40/1 is too big imeo...1.30 Navan.
Grand National winner Pineau De Re carries top weight in a handicap hurdle (the Pertemps Qualifier) at Carlisle today. He is unlikely to win
If its anything like its last run it won't even take part in the race, i could have walked round the track quicker!!
They will pay for the petrol by winning the first mind. I cant understand the vitriol toward Newland re the campaign for his Grand National winner....the Irish have been setting this example for donkeys years!
He's trying to get into the Pertemps so he'll have to run in the first 8 I think and as it's a Pertemps qualifier, you can be sure almost all of them aren't giving it 100%.
The only one that would have got near the petrol money is now a n/rso the straight forcast is out the window . Its definitely not a backing race unless you go in with a barrow full in hope of gaining a bucket full
Have one more christmas present for you all, just got a phonecall, 2 35 Navan - Aupcharlie win 11/1 no eachway needed today Mate better be right because the ****er has just woke me up at 9 am on a sunday told me to get on early before the price drops into single figures, so enjoy fellas
I obviously have no inside knowledge of how the game works and a big part of me coming on here is to listen to the knowledge and experiences of the rest of you but for me if a horse is put in a race then it should give 100% everytime it runs. I don't think this is unreasonable to expect, Joe public spend their hard earned cash backing horses un aware of any politics, plots, fiddles going on behind the scenes. If said horses were priced up at silly prices 66/1, 100/1 etc then you'd be less likely to be backing it but when reasonable (backable) prices are available then it's not unrealistic to expect the horse has a chance. So for horses to not even give punters a run for their money it is a disgrace in my opinion and shouldn't be allowed to happen, trainers/owners/jockeys should be banned or fined for such performances

It's a part of the game you'll either have to accept or find another past time unfortunately Badger. There are bans/fines etc for non triers but it's hard to prove and essentially in the hands of the stewards on the day to make a big call and accuse a jockey/trainer of cheating. I'd argue that the sport has created the problem by having handicaps. However, if you don't have handicaps, you don't really have a sport. The simple way to avoid it (as much as possible) is to refuse to bet in handicaps.
I appreciate that no one forces us to have a bet but when your just a casual punter with extremely limited knowledge like myself then you should be able to have a bet without worrying about any 'cheating' going on. You say avoid handicaps but to me a race is a race so wouldn't know the difference
