The best player through our acadamy actually plays for juventus <ok>

Oh and thats a sign of our acadamies greatness. Yes welbeck isnt a top, top player but hes good enough for arsenal who most would consider a top level club (a level below the elite clubs like United of course).

Also bangs them in at international level.

  2. Do the Gooners have an academy?

I thought that Whinger's youth development strategy consisted of nipping over to France twice a year and using sweaties to entice away any kid who looked half-decent.

Either way, both are obviously better off not being at Utd

Yes, unfortunately I think you're probably right. He needs to play regularly, but he's better than many would have you believe.

Pogba no, he just wasn't patient enough. Its likely he would be even better had he stayed because juventus and italian football in general isnt well known for its nurturing of young players. Pogbas attitide wasnt poor but he just lacked patient. Dont him no harm but he could have been even better under superior coaches (moyes aside).

Welbeck clearly felt he wasnt good enough and wanted to leave. United fans respect that. The fact he went to arsenal only strengthens the fact our acadamy is brilliant.

Well you have two already, pogba and welbeck.

Off the top of my head,

    Cleverley
    O'shea
    Wes Brown
    Fletcher
    Evans
    Pique
    The leicester city squad
    The hull squad
    Tom heaton
    Ron Zeiler (world cup winner)
    Rossi
    Januzaj
    Healy

    Loads more.

Solid players. Some who have been major parts of the kind of success some other clubs can only dream of.

What point are you failing to make btw?

I think it's you that is singularly failing to prove his point. In fact, this list just disproves it. The only possible world class players are Janusaj, and that very much remains to be seen, and Pogba. The rest? I don't know whether to laugh or cry! World class, Evans etc??....<laugh>

Well pogba is well on his way to world class and mostbof them are or were very good players. Even at the lower end we have northern Irelands top goalscorer ever and a cb pairing who kept the leagues top scorers at bay recently.

My point is just fine. Our acadamy producea a high number of high qualitu professional footballers that play all around the world at various levels. Some have more medals than entire clubs do and have been an integral part of that success.

What was your point again chap? Remind me again <ok>

Well weve moved some of the most successful ones on now that weve had their best years but yes, many didnt make the grade at an elite club. Thats no bad thing though, few players ever do.

Precisely what I said <ok> Both of the best players they have produced are proving that at other clubs

I've just made my point. Which part of it didn't you get ? The two best players that Utd have produced had to make the step up by moving to other clubs.

FFS. A clubs academy is to produce players good enough to play in the first team, not to sell to others cos they are not good enough.
