No My Tent this year, would have won it last year but for walking through the last, barely had a race today, wouldnt be totally surprised if he runs.

TNO, Faugheen, Irving on boxing day.

    Make it happen Nige!

<rofl>....MTOY was actually extending his advantage at the line.

I took 7/2 about TNO several weeks ago and think he is a smashing bet for the CH,beautiful horse, but FFS stop this irritating excuse making and pocket talk about TNO getting beaten twice last year.

Suck it up...thats the way it goes.

Well there you go. The Twisted one, resplendent in new duffel coat, just refused to rule it out talking to Stuart Machin there. So maybe. What a treat that'd be with the leftovers, bubble and chips. Tee things up nicely for Silviniaco Conti's majestic victory in the KG.

Is Noel Fehily the most underrated jockey in the weighing room? Tactically as good as any of them imo.

How is walking through the last an excuse? Getting took out the race in a Champion Hurdle as well.

Excuses? ffs, what exactly does constitute an unlucky defeat then?

I know thats the way it goes, thats racing, but with The New One its pocket talk and excuses? They are legitimate reasons for losing in my book.

    Merry Christmas indeed.

Amazing results today, and cracking prices on Blacklion and Rock On Ruby in particular.

The two Henderson juveniles as well both nailed on, Hargam was the big one for me.

Why is National Hunt racing the inferior of flat racing in terms of prize money?

Doncaster racecourse (aka ARC) should be prosecuted under the Trades’ Description Act for their card on the 13th December as it was in fact a mixed NH and Flat card. This was because the sun was low in the sky – as it has been at this time of year since before man walked the planet – so the horses had to omit half the obstacles because of the ‘bad’ light.

An alien watching Ch4 Racing will have said, “How stupid can they be on this planet? There is no point us visiting here as there is no intelligent life.”

It is not the first time this has happened and will not be the last. What the BHA should do is insist that courses either put their obstacles where the setting winter sun is no issue or erect fences or the like (e.g. plant evergreen trees) to block the light. Or just do not have fixtures when the alignment of your racecourse means that good light stops play.

There is no point throwing good money away on a racing code that is handicapped by good weather.

They should just run the other way round when the sun gets low.

Ok am gonna get some pelters but here is my reason why the TNO won't win come march not saying he won't I just don't think he will; people still going on about how unlucky he was last march but was he, he got impeded very early in to the race an still had the whole back straight ad the corner of the home straight to get in to the race which he did as the pace after OC (RIP) fell the pace slowed down a touch! Also he powered up the hill yes but does he need further than 2m IMO yes he does, everyone going on how fgood his performance was today yes it was good but he beat Vaniteux with some ease and giving 8lbs takes some doing yes but is he really CH contender he was 3rd to Vatour last march who is now a chaser so not the stables best hurdler, travelled well in the Greatwood but just ran out of steam so does that really have depth! Again not saying Faugheen the form has it either but he too powers up the hill last march and dot forget he was a novice too running 1st time at Cheltenham then ran even better at Punchestown which shows he has the pace and turn of foot so like the TNO both get better with the more racing they do but a a novice last yr Faugheen has more scope for improvement based on that point! Just for the non Faugheen believers his in last yr where he flattened the. 2nd ruby gave him a dig in the ribs an he shot off which his jumping like TNO has to and looks to have improved too!!
