Calmed down now. Very disappointing result but at the end of the day we can only blame ourselves. We will get it right again, it is just very frustrating when it is going wrong. As much as we dislike our man united friend, he does have a point, despite this horrid run, we are only 2 points from third. We could have easily been put right down the pecking order but right now we still very much within touching distance of the top. Need to beat sheffield united, and i expect us to win. Hopefully we can get a couple of goals to get the strikers up and running and then that is a bit of confidence going into a the home game against everton which we can get points from.
@RonaldKoeman: Plenty of opportunities, fantastic #saintsfc fans, but disapointing result. Next challenge is to reach semi-final in #Capital1Cup on tuesday
Quite agree , and why does anyone have a problem with the MANU fan ? If you don't like what he posts ignore him .
I'm glad we've got the League Cup game on Tuesday. We can quickly move on. But if we don't win that there's going to be some very unhappy people.
Always like a quick game after a loss, so we really need a win on Tuesday after 4 losses. But, hey, if we lose on Tuesday, I expect I'll be looking for the next positive.
Gutted for today but to put it in perspective this is the first loss of the season where we were the favourites. It seems a common trait amongst saints teams over the years that when confidence drops a bit after a poor run, no one is prepared to pull the trigger in front of goal. Fortunately we have players coming back with confidence to overcome that I think. Tuesday is huge - looking like our best chance of silverware an Europe (though I'm not giving up on that 4th place just yet.....)
Thread over on SaintsWeb saying there was sizeable trouble between the 2 sets of fans at the cricket club. Shame if that's true.
http://www.burnleyexpress.net/news/crime/man-arrested-after-turf-moor-hit-and-run-1-7003820 Southampton man arrested. Old enough to know better. Girl only slightly hurt...thank goodness.
After Jake Heskesth went off Injured, Does anyone know why? And how long he would be out for? Sorry if discussed before.
Such a shame.. This is the modern age now where if you can't deal with a player for his technique.. You go in hard.. Sad really
Yep, agreed. Today's players are so much more protected than a few years back. Can you imagine Franny surviving with today's protection of players?
And back then you hardly ever saw players diving, or indeed, falling over at all unless their leg had actually been severed.
