I'm not that sure there is anything much wrong with it. Any sane player would have wanted to leave us to join Real Madrid in any season in history. The only difference recently is that we've actually had players good enough that Real Madrid want them. Similarly Man Utd.
On this I would agree. The lure of pulling on the almost legendary white strip of Real is something few players could resist.
Only positive last night for me was Walker's return. CB's didn't impress (surprise, surprise) and the rest didn't do much better. I was bemused by the subs though, especially bringing Capoue on when chasing a lead is a bizarre decision. I'd rather have let Onomah have some game time to give the kid some experience and a reward for playing well in the U21's. We're through though, that's the main thing.
