Ins.......Rosicky/Johnny Russell/Danny Ings/Tyrone Mings outs.....SWP/Hoilett or Phillips or both as waste of space/Murphy All ideas most welcome.
In - Any striker who can match Charlie and take the pressure off him a bit. Revisit Troy Deeney - 7 goals - or maybe the Icelander again?? Out - surprised you think Hoilett out. Always harries defenders when he eventually gets on. SWP for sure. Jury still out on Phillips imo.
In - we may have to look for a striker farther afield than the UK, so I hope Harry and Glen are doing their homework. Please don't get another ManU also-ran on loan Out - Sure, SWP on condition they've found someone else to make the teas (preferably on less than £60,000 pw). Would keep Hoilett for sure, and on balance, I agree with RTID that it's too early to abandon Phillips - if he can just recover his confidence post-injury, we may get back a decent winger
The only other option with Hoilett is to give his 6 games on the spin and see how he performs. We did that in the Championship without joy though.
Obviously, a goal-scoring striker and cover for right back. We need to be patient. IF the squad is good enough to start climbing up the table then we don't need to change too much. We should be looking for young developing players to replace the players who are approaching retirement. Gradual improvement would be better than buying six or seven players and upsetting the apple cart like we have done previously.
Totally agree totally. I wouldn't be looking to specifically offload anyone although if offers come if for fringe players then they should be considered. The two mentioned positions would be ideal (especially the striker where there's less cover). I've said before that youngsters would be good and loanees if we're going for quick fixes.
In - A good, young up-for-it striker, another creative and preferably pacey midfielder and a small apprentice bin emptier, boot cleaner (You know where I'm going with this) Out - Sort Taarabt out once and for all, a sale, season loan or a swap.....just sort it. And sack the current small bin emptier, boot cleaner Shaun..........please.......get rid at last ffs
He has nuisance value alright, with his pace. Are they the same person? Anyone ever seen them in the same room at the same time?
In - strikers on short term loans to back up Charlie with some goals - Jermain Defoe, Robbie Keane, even Bradley Wright-Phillips (prolific scorer in MLS play - 30 goals - knowing our luck he would likely shoot blanks for us) Out - SWP (the gift that just keeps on taking), Rio (please officially retire) Harry Redknapp: No QPR moves for Robbie Keane or Jermain Defoe Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has denied making any approach for MLS duo Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe. QPR are reported to be in the market for a striker and have been linked with Keane and Defoe, both of whom worked with Redknapp when he was the manager of Tottenham. LA Galaxy forward Keane, the Major League Soccer MVP, has said he is open to a transfer and that "sometimes change is good for everybody." Redknapp, however, denied suggestions the player could be on his way to Loftus Road. "Robbie's an amazing footballer, one of the best professionals I've come across," he said. "He's gone over there and been the best player in the league -- he hasn't gone there for a holiday -- but he belongs to the LA Galaxy and is the star man of their team and league. "We've never made an enquiry about him. They wouldn't let him go." Toronto FC's Defoe was strongly linked with a move to QPR in the summer, and there have been indications that his club would be willing to let him move on. But Redknapp said: "I've never spoken to Jermain. I asked about him in the summer, but he was too expensive and the club wouldn't let him go anyway. He's a top player." http://www.espnfc.com/story/2192939...s-qpr-moves-for-robbie-keane-or-jermain-defoe
My only request would be that all our business is done before deadline day. A nice boring window with one or two sensible additions would be great.
we a left/right and centre back. An attacking midfielder and striker in my opinion. Get rid of rio swp adel and this will upset a lot of people but hill as well.
Very good assessment. I, like everyone, have waited and waited for Hoilett to 'come good' but sadly, he seems to have never for filled his expectations.
Another expensive old has-been is available on a free, one Fernando Torres (Mr Sitter)... Don't tell Harry...
Spuds fans on their Board seem to think their Manager would loan Adebayor to us for the rest of the season. They reckon he'd jump at the chance to join up with Harry and play games too.
Would we want to take a punt on Ravel Morrison again - worked out well for us last season? We could go with the daily double by adding Kim Bo-Kyung to keep Yun company. Cardiff City manager Russell Slade says he has not yet made a decision regarding the futures of midfielders Ravel Morrison and Kim Bo-Kyung. South Korea international Kim, 25, made his first league start and Morrison came off the bench in Saturday's 0-0 draw against Rotherham United. Morrison is on loan from West Ham until after the Boxing Day match away against Charlton Athletic. "We'll make a decision on that in due course," said Slade. Ex-Manchester United trainee Morrison, 21, has made four substitute appearances for Cardiff since Slade took over in October. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/30365263
