Will Bridcutt finally nail down a place? Who'll be up top? For me id "save" Catts and Johnson for the derby. Bridcut deserves his place and Alvarez needs a start. Id go with the following ------------------Pantilimon--------------------- Vergini-------Oshea--------Brown------Réveillère --------------------Bridcutt---------------------- Alvarez------Larsson------Rodwell------Wickham --------------------Fletcher----------------------
Leaving cattermole out would be crazy. He is the heartbeat of our side. Against an immensely physical side like west ham, we will be counting on him.
Once again I will say put both in, they have very different qualities and with the threat of Carroll keeping JOS and Wes busy, we need both Catts in his usual role and Briddo to pick up any knock downs intended for the funky chicken or whoever. If we dont I can see another frustrating day at the office. I otherwise go along with the team you have picked and Rodders would be the one to stand down.
Yes we did. But man city also managed fine last night without aguero in their side. But when aguero is fit, he plays. Same goes for cattermole, because both are so vital to their sides. West ham will be rough and very physical. Cattermole will install a bit of steel into our side, that we will 100% need against west ham. Bridcutt has improved a lot this year, but is no where near keeping cattermole out of our side. The performance catts put into the Chelsea game, was one of the best defensive midfield performances I've seen in a long long time. Poyet is getting the best out of him and would be mad to drop him, and he knows that.
True, but he is a real ball winner and not quite the same as Briddo who is more of a modern style defender who has a calmness about him, and is a good reader of the game, I really do think they would compliment each other given a few games. Rodders has been persisted with for long enough in the starting line up, and is only worth a place on the bench imo. But I would be more than happy with either one if that is how Gus is going, and it gets us that much needed win.
KEY midfielder Mark Noble has been ruled out of West Ham United’s trip to Sunderland on Saturday. The 27-year-old has missed some games recently with a calf injury, and now it appears he could be out for longer with an Achilles problem. West Ham manager Sam Allardyce said: “Mark Noble still has trouble with his Achilles tendon but that’s the only injury worry at the moment.” The Hammers have had a superb start to the season, and sit fourth in the Premier League table heading into Saturday’s match at the Stadium of Light.
Sick of posting teams me. Fine with anything except Connor at inside left. Hope Alvarez gets a start, Gus says he's a player who can do things, well he won't do nowt unless he gets minutes.
That's great news. The lad has been immense this season, like Catts he just isn't 'fashionable' enough for Woy.
Can't see Catts on the bench against a Big Sam side. The game should suit him perfectly. Nothing against Bridcutt.
They still have some cracking midfield players mind, Alex Song must be one of the buys of the close season, at the time, I was surprised that a bigger club did not go in for him, he was outstanding in his last season at Arsenal. Defo one to watch.

Pants Vergini O'Shea Brown Rev Alvarez Catts Larsson Johnson Fletcher Wickham We are the home team....so go (hopefully) 4 - 4 - 2. Two creative wide players to get around the back of them. Think they will sit back a bit....
The two of them should keep swopping wings.....just gives the full backs some different to try to work out....
