This could go either way, I see no middle ground. We will either frustrate a them and gain a draw or narrow victory, or they will hump us again. I don't see a narrow win for them.

I'll go 4-1 to Arsenal. I just think he has to win this as the locals are restless. We have defended really well but Sissoko is suspended, Colo a doubt, Saylor suspended. We aren't half making it hard for ourselves at present!

    I'd play the following team:

    Jak

    Janmaat, Colo, Dummett, Haidara

    Abeid, Colback

    Perez, Aarons, Sammy

    Cisse

I think Pardew will go with: Jak, Janmaat, Williamson, Colo, Dummett, Tiote, Colback, Cabella, Gouffran, Sammy, Perez

I too think we'll either nick a narrow victory or get battered. First goal will be crucial, we're very good at stifling the opposition and that will be important. If Arsenal score first and we then have to come out and play I can seem them just picking us off. It won't take much for the Arsenal fans to get on the back of Wenger and their team though so keeping it tight and frustrating them for as long a possible is vital.

I don't think Aarons and Colo will be an option available to him. If they are, it will probably be at a great risk. I'm not sure I'd want him doing that before a derby.

I thought Aaraons could have been available for Saturday if we'd wanted but we held him back so that he didn't break down again? I think Colo will be fit after hearing hsi interview after the game.

Understand your point though, Pardew knows he can't afford to lose another derby so I think if there's any risk he'll protect players for that game. If we get a result at Spurs and beat Sunderland I think he'd have gone a very, very long way to repaying his debt to the fans.

Alternatively if we lose both of those games the pitch forks will be at the ready again.

Maybe but for some I think the pitch forks will always be kept handy for Pards, they just don't like him.

For the first time in years, I fancy us to get something at the Emirates. Arsenal are shocking at the minute.

Well, they sort of play a bit like Chelsea, but with less strength going forward and less mobility in defence. They're pacier but it doesn't necessarily matter if you keep a good shape. Having Willo in for Saylor is not a bad thing, because he can literally sit on Giroud and should win most in the air. Colo needs to be around, organisation is key. Issue is no Sissoko. I'd probably keep the shape the same and give Mehdi Abeid the Sissoko role. On this season, that's not a bad swap out that.

Don't want to get too positive about this game. Its normally one we get stuffed in. In-depth statistical analysis also shows that if I don't expect or predict a win we are more likely to get one.

I can see Arsenal really being up for this following their abysmal showing of late and our team will be sadly lacking a major driving force due to Sissoko being out. God knows what team he will put out with the deby and cup tie following.
Sorry guys a drubbing I think.

See Arsenal hammered Galatasary 4-1 tonight in Turkey. I really do think we are in for a drubbing.

Galatasary looked pants tonight to be fair. Ithink this result could go either way, think it depends how much the long midweek trip to Turkey affects Arsenals plans and preparation for Saturday. Could work to our advantage, though I'm by no means saying I'm sure that we will win.

This is a game where we usually ship goals. With Krul, Colo(?), Saylor & Sissoko all out, I think we cold go down about 3-1

Hmm I didn't realise they had a CL game. Might be tighter than I thought.

    1-1

I never feel confident against in this game. I agree that we need to at least rry and keep it tight for a long time. The fans will start getting on their case. Ramsay's strike last night though...what a hit!

No Aarons according to our esteemed leader.

I'm hoping we can name a team of: Alnwick, Janmaat, Colo, Dummett, Haidara, Tiote, Colback, Abeid, Perez, Sammy, Cisse

I hope Dummett gets moved to CB instead of Williamson getting a game. Williamson trying to handle the pace and movement of Sanchez and Welbeck will just be embarassing. Obviously if Colo isn't fit then it'll be a case of "needs must" and Williamson will partner Dummett.

If Cisse isn't fit to start then replace him with Cabella and shift Perez up top. If Abeid isn't available then Anita may well get a game.

I actually think this will be a game too far for our squad given the number of injuries and suspensions we're carying and that we could be on the end of a heavy defeat. We just won't have the pace to play on the counter without Sissoko, Obertan & Aarons.
