The days of a fit Saha are long gone, that is if they ever existed. It's Cahill you have to watch out for.

7th is within our grasp, and with the quality in some of our players we really should be doing our utmost to get into Europe this season, be it by a top 7 finish or exceeding in the cups with proper use of the squad. 8th-10th would still represent a good season, but you've got to aim high <ok>

    Good stats! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Saha

Yeah, he's injury prone & past his best. Apart from that.. they probably do need a striker because Beckford & co aren't that good, well Beckford DID look good towards the end of the season(that amazing solo goal against Chelsea). In midfield Everton are excellent though. Fellani(sp), Arteta, Cahill, Rodwell, Neville(vast experience & leadership), Billydicknovo(sp), Osman & Coleman(RB/RW). Also there defence is one of the strongest in the league with Jags, Distin, Baines & Coleman/Hibbert. <ok>

Agreed, striker is generally where it's very difficult to get a bargain, which Everton do love.

A good solid top 10 finish will do me, and a decent cup run. A final would be lovely.

Would like us to cement ourselves comfortably in top 10, rather than having to fight all the time for the 10th spot, if you know what I mean...

If you can get Ashely to cough up then that would be a good start.

Are you guys still protesting against him? I don't hear much about him anymore, yet I don't think he's gone has he?

He's kind of split the fanbase I would stay, for all his faults we are now financially stable and look like breaking even this year. Still get anti Ashley songs at games but we havent protested propeerly since Hughton was sacked.

Nerh he's still here - ever present.

I dunno, a lot of us on here have kinda resigned to him staying at the moment - like it or lump it he's a good businessman and we're in a good position financially.
No point screaming ASHLEY OUT all the time - aint gonna do much really.

Not too sure on the 35m myself at the minute - I know it's being spent on wages like which is a sensible thing to do I suppose. No point spending **** loads on transfer fees. We'll see the money spent gradually on the next few players in I imagine - striker (Erdinc, etc), possibly Zog, Barnetta, I'm not sure who we're in for anymore to be honest.

    Humm.

Yes he does seem to have stabilised you. I'm surprised other major businessman do not look at Newcastle.

I would. Big fan base, no need to invest in a stadium, stable finances.

It would only take someone with a decent ammont of money to give you that little kick up the league. Would secure the mercenarues as well.

I think we'll find a buyer when we pay off Ashley's debt. £110million interest free loan, and he's gradually getting it back so the club is a more attractive proposition to buyers and he gets out having fixed us financially.

Knowing our luck we'd get bought out by someone even worse.

That is true. It can go very badly wrong. Like for us last season. I wouldn't wish last season even on United fans. Nearly ceast to exist, people from around the world getting involved to sue.

But if you don't camble you get stuck. Like Everton. Decent squad. Cannot improve more without money.

Would you not be willing to take that risk?

    No idea.

Depends on who we sign and who 13 other clubs sign...
