I read an article which said that it was accepted not to be perfect when it was introduced into tennis, but the decision was made that if they used it, no one should question it...so they don't whinge about it. You use it, then accept it. Technology is just another 'pair of eyes' you can appeal to...but there is a margin of error on close decisions. Perhaps the cricket system needs some reprogramming.
James Taylor out for a very good 68 on a slow pitch offering turn and bounce for the spinners. Very assured knock. England 141/3.
Great, great news. The overall quality of drivers in F1 would have dropped significantly if he had gone. Let's hope they give him a car that can compete next year!
They were using 4 cameras rather than the recommended 6 and two of the camera angles were blocked, reducing the accuracy of the normally reliable result.
Feel a bit sorry for Magnusson though. Very promising young driver. But I guess his time will come later.
McLaren kept Hakkinen back as a test driver when he first joined, until they realised Andretti was pony. The rest is history. The same may happen with Magnussen (although Stoffel van Doorne is IMHO a better youngster on their books, and has a far better name!) They're keeping K-Mag as reserve/test driver - I'd put him in a GP2 seat as well to keep his racecraft up.
http://babb.telegraph.co.uk/2014/12...elsea-according-to-one-in-five-children/?ath= This is what is wrong with kids today. We all know he was a right back who played for Saints in the Championship!
Swanwick Air Traffic Control has gone down to a power failure, so all the computers are off. It's forecast they'll be back up at 1900. All London departures are grounded and traffic out of other airports, bound for London has either been turned back or brought in locally. Swanwick is very important. If all aeroplanes in the air could just stack for a few hours I'm sure we'd all be much happier. I jest, but it's a bit of a naughty situation. Hopefully, Prestwick ATC can take much of the extra burden. All people concerned are going to be earning their salaries today. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-30454279 http://www.nats.aero/about-us/what-we-do/our-control-centres/
