True, and of course we had the League Cup Semi-Final in 2005! There are many clubs who have never reached a semi-final in either cup competition. 3 in 11 years isn't bad - but apart from those 2 years our recent record is not great. 3rd round only in 1992,3,4,6,9 & 2000,1,2,4,5,6. 4th round in 1997,8 & 2008 5th round in 1995 & 2009 ....and we have played Chelsea 4 times in the FA Cup within the last 11 years, drawing 1 and losing 3! January's meeting will be the 5th since 2004.
And they went on to win the Cup on 2 out of 3 times we were drawn against them. I'd like to think that the euphoria of managing to get past us spurred them on!
Not the best weather here today, but it looks as if tomorrow it could be a touch bumpy as I cross the Channel. A quick trip round the family which leaves no time for another visit to the Vic. Hope that SEJ doesn't bring a bad performance with him. His record of watching us win doesn't seem that good and I need some more points in the WPL.
