Good Morning Everyone, Like him or loathe him, Ross McCormack single handedely kept Leeds in the Championship, and away from the relegation zone. This being the case, why is he going to get booed on Saturday? Beckford left to get more money and play at a higher level, and when he plays against Leeds, get cheered for every touch he takes. Regarding McCormiack, who got the better deal, Leeds or Fulham? Those of you that have not been impressed with Sloth, watch this amazing bit of skill against Leicester in the U21 Cup two nights ago Wigan fans are not happy at the amount of money they have to pay to come to Elland Road :- Wigan Athletic Supporters Club have been contacted by many fans as to the pricing for this yearâs match at Elland Road on Boxing Day. As you are aware the cost of attending the game will be £36 for an adult as opposed to £28 just over 12 months ago, an increase of nearly 30% and a long way from the £20 Leeds fans will pay to come to the DW Stadium at nearly half the price. Morning Elland and all. Cellino has said he is now ready to step down as president but more importantly the 23.5m pound investment in the club, due to be ratified on Tuesday, has been put on hold until ownership issues are resolved. Looks like he may have had his bellyful and is on the way out. As for Ross, think I may slip in with away fans on Saturday and applaud him
Ross wanted out for ages and actually went for the cash. Beckford couldn't get a new enhanced contract as bates only offered him a new 3 year deal but no more money. Beckford was someone who deserved a pay rise and was only on a few quid per week, so went because Bates didn't want him. We got the best deal from the Ross move Worrying if Cellino stands down with his money, because the club will implode again and all because of Harvey
Morning all. I fail to see why Ross would get booed. He almost single handedly kept us up last season, even pushing for top 6 at one point. So why should he be booed? We even got £11m for him. Think we got the better end of that deal, although I'd love to know how he'd have got on in this Leeds team given that we're now playing proper footy rather than hoofball. On Cellino quitting, I'll believe it when I see it. Why quit after puting in so much money?
The way has been cleared for the red bull take over then. Not sure how I feel about that, but IMO the Cellino way wasnt / isn't going to work, and he has run the club in a way that has made us a laughing stock. No one will ever convince me that Hockacock or Milanic were ever a way forward... If MC goes I see us getting rid of all the serie b players in the summer with hopefully the exception of Antenucci. Can't say I am upset by that prospect.
There are some coming to ER on Saturday with the specific aim of booing the child abandoning, fly tipping, fat, lazy greedy bastard.... I don't understand why!
Morning Eire, that is not how I see it. Cellino will step down for a few months, subject to his appeal, and his son will take his place. Yes, the 20 plus million will be put on hold til Cellino returns in March
Given that the bulk of the cash "is to buy ER and a new training facility" why would he pull it if he is coming back? It makes no sense, especially as this investment goes straight on the bottom line of the clubs valuation. More worrying if part of the cash is for day to day running costs then we are looking down the barrel again.
The club is worth a lot more with its physical assets, ie its ground and training ground. Cellino is a businessman. If he wanted to sell the club, he would buy the grounds, HEAVILY invest in players (would always take a few seasons), buy his way to the Prem, THEN sell
Forget the prem for the purposes of debate, Given your point why would he now be pulling the plug on buying the ground and infrastructure. I suspect he knows it will take months to do the deal and he ain't going to be here. No proof just an opinion.
Good morning from a chilly damp Cote de Bardsey to Matt and co MC is a very astute businessman with this in mind he will not be walking away from this business anytime soon so forget about Red bull and all the other bull its just that bull! Totally disagree with young chippy about the Italians but I suppose I would wouldnt I Belushi Silvestri Bianci Antenucci and Dukara have done well considering they are in a totally new enviroment look whats happened to Ross he is hardly tearing the goals in at Fulham and yes I think by selling him we got the much better of the deal will I boo him why shoulds I when he made us all that money Sloth will come good I have no doubt he is still only young as for the other Adryan needs a season to adjust Fabio and Montenegro like wise but I would keep them for the future
Morning all - Think it is wait and see time in regards to ownership, as for Ross I believe he was a disruptive influence I am only judging this on snippets and the way he conducted himself. He held us to ransom previously with his wage demands, I do not have any bad feelings towards him, he went for the money, just as 99% of players do. As for the likes of Adryan - I will be amazed if we buy him, yes we have him on loan with an option to purchase but when the day comes around to allow him to leave or sign I know which one my money is on.
