    The PL are laughable.
It would be a different story if it were Chelski.

Give Jak his chance I say.

Krul was playing in his teens for us so it can do nothing but good for the lad <ok>

I think you've got to give Jak a shot at it. It would be a shame if he wasn't given a chance as it would mean he would go the same way Fraser Forster did.

Does seem a bit wrong, especially when in 2010 Man City were allowed to sign a keeper for 2 games, with 2 keepers out. What happens if Alnwick injures himself in the warm up or training before the Arsenal game.

Do you mean that under PL rules it is not possible to end a loan period early or that if a season long loan has been agreed it is up to the club to whom the player has been loaned whether it would like to end it? I think it's the latter in which case we should negotiate with Nottingham Forest and see what they would want to return him. Maybe we could interest them in some other player or pay a small fee to get him back. Rather than take in an emergency loan who will then disappear we could then blood one of our future players sooner than originally planned.

I'm all for giving Jak his chance, however, my problem lies with who is then on the bench in case of injuries. All our other keepers are academy youngsters and the PL can't be serious to think 16-18 year olds can step straight into the PL.

This is exactly why the decision is wrong, especially when other clubs have been allowed to do this in the past.

Suspect he'll turn up at another football club, probably Man Utd.

Was Krul not only 18 when he had a cracking game against Palermo??
Also, and I'm not comparing them, Courtouis is only a year older than Jak so wouldn't be too worried just because of his age. Hopefully he's ready and will step up like other youngsters

You lads need a break, the PL should sanction an emergency loan, maybe Shay Given. You have been sold short,

Catch 22 as far as I can see with the keepers.

Alnwick needs to play football, or he'll never improve, but he wouldn't normally get the chance as he's 3rd choice.
So he would basically stagnate whilst he awaits a chance that will rarely come.

Darlow, is getting what he needs, playing First Team football in a competitive league.
Otherwise he would have been sitting on his arse going nowhere.

We aren't actually doing anything different to most other PL Clubs, 3rd choice keepers are normally around the age of Alnwick or at the end of careers, with 4th choice more than likely a teenager with the U'18s.

Arsenal recently played in the Champions League, with Martinez, 3rd choice keeper at 22yo. The sub was 17yo, so no different to Woodman.

Should stop the whining that we're being hard done by, as we're not in reality, its just our 3rd keeper is either not good enough or simply hasn't played enough in proper competitive games.

Alnwick injured. Talks on twitter of us signing Ali Al-Habsi or Shay Given.

Would be good, but according to BBC Newcastle Alnwick is going to be fit now.
