He was useless as well. But agreed - Rodgers is setting this team up all wrong.

I wanted him to start out of pure desperation. I knew he had the ability but he showed nothing prior to last night.

Hopefully he wont be too downbeat because of the sending off. He played with confidence and Rodgers needs to build that up - starting with the big game this weekend.

He had confidence (no idea where from all of a sudden) and energy, two things we could really use right now. He looked completely different to the guy who played against Madrid.

Agreed. He was only bright spark for me on a night of sheer mediocrity, all stemming from the manager.

you can't really say that as we strung 4 CMs across the team and shoe horned it at the start.

We cannot say if Markovic had started what would have occurred we can say that when he came on he was more lively and showed his pace finally. but it didn't last did it.

I'm sorry but if sterling didn't know whetehr to run in behind or come short and bascially checked runs and wondered whee the F are this lot going to play it then... well... what can you do.

allen was a joke. how many touches does he need to get it going.

henderson at left wing was a total joke.

watching gerrard try to get about is next to tearful. he should retire.

Obviously not, but it can't have been much worse than what did hapen in the first half. The first fifteen minutes of the second half, the set-up and movement just looked so much better, albeit we still looked like we were missing a striker.

I agree with you, of course I would rather see quality players at the club but whilst we dont have many of them ,those that are here I want to see busting a gut.

well.... no but my point is if the right team structure was picked in the first place the first half would not have been so tosh.

lucas, allen, gerrard, henderson... prob only space for two of those in my mind. coutinho on bench.. a scandal... lallana on bench? meh... but still wtf.

so markovic or no we could have done a lot more to be right for that game... was he minding players for sunday? I hope not!

The starting line up and set up cost us. No 2 ways about it - Rodgers is at fault for this.

It's so frustrating mate - last year, he was proactive and imaginative in his changes. Now, he's persisting with the same sh*t players and same sh*t tactics.

he's not though.. he's giving a guy a go then pulling him out again... well except for can.

anyone less than 25 he seems to not trust now.

    I think he's bottled it.

    Will Toure be fit again?

Not sure I'd bringin Sakho, who's been out for ages, back in this game. Can for Lucas seems a bit harsh on Lucas. I'd possibly start Lallana ahead of Coutinho and sub Coutinho on later, but that's a matter of preference.

That side's got no focal point or goals in it. You'd get steamrollered, as you'd have no-one up top capable of holding the ball and bringing others into play.

We will get steamrollered anyway. Not a chance on Sunday.

Have to agree here, that team looks terrible Jimmy.

    I'd be looking for:

    Migs

    Manquillo Toure Skrtel Moreno

    Lucas

    Henderson Coutinho

    Gerrard

    Sterling
    Lambert

    tobes is right.

we've seen 4-2-3-1 with lallana, coutinho, sterling and none of them can hold the ball up and ge tthe team up the pitch and they isolated lambert as a result.

  20. It doesn't end with Rodgers...

...there are many others at our club he dislikes too!
