Over the last ten years Liverpool had about five managers whether long term or short term. Namely: 1.Gerrard Houllier. 2.Rafa Benitez 3.Kenny Dalglish. 4.Roy Hodgson. 5.Brendan Rodgers. Only two of them had won something: there is speculation that Rafa Benitez is coming to live in Liverpool where his family are. Some people are reading meanings int this. Whom do you think is a better manager?. Do you thing that there advantages in keeping our manager for a longer period?
not even up for discussion is it? ANY manager who can get a club to 2 European cup finals in 3 yrs, is worth the rest put together.
Its patently obvious rodgers has lost the plot. so all this give him time bollox will get you til march if we are lucky before we are out of all cups and wondering why are we 8th then sack him.
Palace and Sunderland are relegation candidates. Leicester too. Have we looked better than them? Honestly?
A week is a long time in politics. Brendan Rodgers was the Messiah last year people now are calling for his head.
last year is last year next you'll be saying rafa didn't deserve the sack for his madness like keane and aquilani.
1. Benitez 2. Houllier 3. Rodgers 4. Hodgson 5. Dalglish Pretty hard to put them in order as there's not really a huge amount in it - the ones at the top of the list had more highs to go with their lows. In terms of managerial ability at their best (not just at Liverpool), hard to argue with Benitez though.
Lets look at their first 2 full seasons as this isnt over yet. Rafa ... C.L. , FA Cup Kenny ... lge cup Rodgers ... Hodgson didnt have a full season and Houllier is over 10 years ago. I know who id have back like a shot
