First of 2 away games in 4 days for me, buzzing! I'll be massively disappointed if we don't come away with 2 wins. Be a bit more clinical upfront and we should be fine as don't see what they have to test us. Having said that, after the last 4 you can't be sure how we'll play, come on saints!
In my opinion, Victor should deliberately get booked in this game. I know it sounds bad, but I would rather him be missing against Sheffield United, even though it is a big game, than against Everton. Obviously, it would be great if he didn't get booked at all, but we all know how unlikely that is. I'm not talking down the Sheffield United game at all, especially as I am going up to Bramall Lane next Tuesday, but I think we should be able to manage without Victor in the midfield for that one.
Seriously guys? For me, the sheff Utd games is bigger than the Everton game. I want us in that semi-final. If we lose we are out. If we lose to Everton, we live to fight for three points another day. I don't think there is a bigger game anywhere on the horizon. The cup game is one step on the way to Wembley, winning a trophy and geting in to Europe.
I'm with you flt, the cup game is massive, I've always said I'd rather win a cup as we're never realistically gonna finish top4!
This cup is our big chance. Remember how Wenger fielded a weak side when he had the chance to get a trophy at last. Fans not happy. Must put out a strong side and get to the semi-final.
Ings, Jukes, Vokes - aren't they all Saints fans? Considering we're from opposite ends of the country and have rarely played at the same level, there's a strange number of connections between Saints and Burnley.
Poor soul, his 200th can't be Monday. I worked him out to be on 195 after our game with Leicester. Villa, City, Arsenal, United... Burnley. 200.
Well to be honest, it doesn't really matter if Monday was his 200th. One mistake isn't going to take away his legend status at the club or make him less popular with the fans. How much did he cost again? £1-2million?
Absolutely, and he's the last of the regular first team (not counting SKD) to have risen from League One.
He, Schneiderlin and SKD deserve legend status for their roles in the rise of the Saints from league one.
