Will The Fugue’s half-bro finally win a race (China Club 4.10)?!? A mark of 72 doesn’t look that harsh on what he has shown on the track. Pedigree Wise it ought to be exploitable with a capital ‘P’ and a capital ‘W’. Most unusual aspect re the card is that there is a 10YO mare making her Flat debut (Ladyhawk, 5.50)! Cor blimey what is going on there?!? If I had to give a recommendation though, old boy, and I’m sure Stickers you will have your pen poised awaiting it that honour would go to RIDGEWAY STORM in the ‘lucky last’ (6.50). Trained in the county and owned by Mr Ponsonby, the forum’s second favourite owner, this one has the ability to go very, and I do mean very, close off 79. Ridgeway Storm won his maiden very well 2 starts ago and off this mark, last time, ran a highly satisfactory 3rd beaten just a length. He stayed on in taking fashion on that occasion and the step up to 2 miles looks perfect for him. Meanwhile, the Kempers Park track should hold no fears as Ridgeway Storm is a course winner. Also, his barn are in great form with 5 winners already this month. Furthermore, Alan King has said that he is postponing putting this one over hurdles, for the time being, as he believes his current perch, on the level, very exploitable.
Away from the the sand, in the 1.10 at Leicester, Rhapando runs for me again. Third time's a charm. Fell LTO when a certainty for a place. Really disappointing that day because i had quite a lot of money on him each way and even the place paid quite well. That race turned out to be a really hot contest with the winner following up and an unplaced horse winning NTO. 5/1 today. It's not as appealing from a punting point of view but I feel like I have to keep the faith. If the fall hasn't hurt his confidence, I can't see him out of the money and should really be winning.
[good luck with Squire stick, sure he'll give a good account -I'll be doing tote place -however Dubawi Diamond in that 4 10 looks sure to make a race of it -and in the last Dame Lucy must have a great chance both 7/1 shots Gibbstown loves heavy ground, 2 50 hex and I shall be backing Pam sly's chicklemix again in the 2 10 Leic -here's hoping......
3.40 Seven Lucky Seven 4.10 Gleaming Girl 4.40 Born to be Bad 5.10 Mr Singh 5.50 New Years Night 6.20 Im Fraam Goven 12-1 EW 6.50 Charlie Wells Good luck Stick - I hope your horse does not get too near to that Godolphin hotpot however as it might scupper a decent mark. You have the best man on board however, if I had a horse Jim Crowley would be on board.
Just a small stakes trial. Kem 6.20 Bancnuanaheireann (0.7win) Grendisar (0.7 win) I'm Fraam Govan (0.6 win) @bfsp Then 6 x 0.5 Tote Exactas A total of 5 staked.
Aand as Bob predicted .. LADYHAWK - 1001 - drops out ... so down to first 2 places ... Come on SQUIRE !!!! - now in to 10's ...
Hope for Sticks sake that if Squire doesn't win, he doesn't get close to the market leaders, his mark will be awful if he does. I see Ladyhawke is a non runner, what is old Polly doing? A 10yr old in a maiden?
