Don't get me wrong, Basel are the better team and deserve it.... but. They were dire in Switzerland and we had at least four chances to take at least a point. We threw 2 point away at Ludogrets too. We got what we deserved, and on the balance of play for the whole night, even before the sending off, we were lucky Basel scored only one. And that's the point - the mantel of jammy bastards seems to have shifted to Utd atm, and it's no 'luck' that if you have world class forwards like they have now, and we had last season, you can still win games against better teams.

We shouldnt be loosing against this side... The fact that they outperformed us for a good 70% of the match is crazy. Rodgers is not performing this year. They way we played in the last 10 minutes was similar to how we played last season: we threw the kitchen sink at the opposition. We don't seem to have the confidence in outscoring the OP this year. I know Suarez is gone, but that really was out game last year, forget defending! This year we seem to play more cautiously, but yet our defense doesn't seem to get any better! Until we get a proper defensive coach in why don't we just continue to throw everything in to attack? What is there to loose? Why the caution? Yes there may be more games we loose due to opposition outscoring us.. But surly we would be performing better than we are now!!
