We have got bunched up sitting too deep and without Flamini and Ramsey, we aren't really able to work a way through the midfield.
bit of a Jekyll and hyde performance isn't it? Without someone breaking up play/sitting in the right position in the centre, we can't counter/push forward. And we can't keep possession in their half because of it.
Wenger killed the game for us. We now have two 17 year olds playing against a two times Champions League Winner and an experienced Brazil international. We will probably concede a goal now. It doesn't really matter now that Dortmund have scored but its still somewhat disappointing because the first half was highly enjoyable.
True but I can see why he did it. And I would have thought that Zelam would have made more of an impression...
Even in slow motion that Sneijider strike was still travelling at the speed of light. That goal was coming, we should have been pushing up the field long before that came.
Realistically we could topped the group today. That was a poor Gala side. I understand why we rested the players at half time - but I think it was the wrong decision.
Really frustrating result in the context of this group now. Oh well, we can't change it now. Good win tonight and great first half, the changes killed our momentum but I can see why Wenger wanted to rest Ramsey ahead of Newcastle.
6-0 would have been a massive ask, even after the first half blitz. I was disappointed to see Ramsey go off, but I can understand why Wenger did it. To be honest, Wenger is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. We got the win, it was a really good performance in the first half and Chambers and Mert deserve some credit for the second half performance because they were under the kosh.
