I can see a tight first half with no quarter given and real chances limited. Second half the deadlock will be broken and hold on to your hats. You heard it here first
Borini's girlfriend just tweeted 'Ridiculous' ... Could imply that the lad isn't in the squad - quite funny since Lambert could possibly have a heart attack after the amount of mins he's played recently.
i can see an arsenal game type scenario where we are 4-0 up inside 20 mins and just walk the rest of the game can you tell i have been drinking lol, who the **** is going to score 1 that alone 4
There really is no point to Borini being here is there? I like the lad, but we couldn't make showing him the door any more obvious, could we?
Liverpool's XI: Mignolet, Johnson, Enrique, Lovren, Skrtel, Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Gerrard, Sterling, Lambert. Substitutes: Jones, Sakho, Moreno, Can, Lallana, Coutinho, Markovic. Another poor team selection... I just don't get what he has against Can, some very good performances and then never plays again. Coutinho on the bench too, a game we need to win.
I don't know what was said in private, but in public at least Liverpool were happy to let him fight for his place until Sunderland started waving 14 million in our faces. And to be honest, I've no issue with him wanting to fight for his place, especially once he saw who he was up against. It doesn't seem to have worked out, but how much of that is Borini, how much is Rodgers, can't say. Presumably there's a reason he's not getting a look-in, but then again, presumably there's a reason Johnson plays every week.
Sh*t team. Good to see Sakho on the bench. But there is a lack of creativity in that team bar Sterling. Hope I'm proven wrong.
Toure not in the squad? Injured or dropped for Sakho? Also no Manquillo or Borini. Not seeing any creativity or speed in there. Ho-hum.
Not a good team. Aside from Gerrard, who'll fade by half time, there's no creativity in that team - just Sterling's pace but even then only one player who is capable of playing him through. Lambert I like and he's played well, but the guy's knackered! He needs a rest. Midfield looks like it'll hold the ball well and it'll be solid with Lucas, but again, nothing going forward. Defense looks dodgy as **** despite being our most experienced 4 (aside from Toure). Positives...Henderson is in his best position? Bench looks like it could be useful. Meh, not confident.
Looks like a team designed not to lose rather than a team designed to win. Rodgers hasn't been taking permutation lessons from Pellegrini has he?
