Should be an easy win for the RS. At home and a crucial match with the huge crowd behind them. What can go wrong?
Liverpool should win tonight. Really hope they don't though, what a magical Anfield European night that would be. City tomorrow though? I've got a slight hope they go through as that might mean we can get Strootman in January. God know's we need him. It would finally mean we can confine the lanky streak of useless elbows to nothing more than a sub role.
I have no idea, we could easily lose this as we are playing terribly. If we get through then I hope we can find some form before the knockout game.
Ok, let's play cliché bingo. At what time in tonight's programme will the following be tripped out; 1, a special European night at Anfield (two goes, one by Childs the other by the match commentator) 2, the crowd is the 12th man 3, the Spirit of Istanbul is required. I'm going for; 1 - with the first ten seconds for both Childs and commentator 2 - within the first two minutes by commentator 3 - within first five minutes by Childs. Winner gets kudos and **** all else. Feel free to add further vomit inducing clichés (otherwise know as myths). Perhaps something about you'll never walk alone for instance?
Some bollocks about the wall of noise from the Kop roaring Liverpool on will be said pretty much every time Liverpool launch a decent attack. So I reckon it'll first be said around about the hour mark Also guaranteed to hear how Gerrard is a talisman and represents everything successful about Liverpool. That's probably happen after about five minutes, when be first miscontrols the ball and boots it into touch / the path of the opposition striker. Which will of course be 'very out of character for Gerrard'.
