Van persie was very good. A quality player who lived up to it. When tadic and long went off you knew saints had given up the chase.
That was such a **** performance. Fellaini and Mata might as well of not turned up. Defensively we are all over the place and LGV has to take some blame there even though Smalling going off didn't help. RVP was great tonight, but you could see Rooney getting frustrated because the service and support was pump. We seem scared to go forward and undoubtedly this is because we are so **** at the back.
3rd place now, not too bad for a mid table team. Beat Liverpool Sunday and we will have 10 points on them
I just cannot believe United are 3rd. As I've said before We are only playing at 50% of our potential. Our team is so bad that it can only get better. So if we are firing on all cylinders we could go on a great run. Still shocked though how bad United have been. Full marks for resilience and scrapping. I can see us being dominated by the RS but nicking the goals.
Liverpool have had several worse games. We had 3 shots today. I recall a couple of games where liverpool had omly one and even a game where they had none. Its going to be a horrific game of ****eball.
I have but they have not played as bad as this and win The only consolation is that they have not got a finisher ( I hope. I don't ****ing regret saying this).
RVP only one with passmarks, kept the ball every time, took his chances, actually looked to be giving 100% mata - hiding rojo - bombscare fellaini - brainless mcnair - should have been dragged off after 10 mins rooney - world class, al crack the jokes Roy Keane would have burst a blood vessel in his neck playing in that team tonight
It was the PERFECT example of getting the line up wrong and then unable to get into the game as a result. So much so that even when he DID make the changes the team just couldn't get back into it. That's not a reflection of players like Herrera and Mata and Rooney, it was LVG's cock up that got the tactics wrong and then asking the players to play catch up. We were lucky tonight no doubt about it. Why don't we just play our best 11??? And ENOUGH of the back 3 please!
In the games vs yourselves and City Southampton have shown the difference between top sides and playing like a top side. City are the genuine article - they ended up steamrollering them. Controlled the game. Your lot were woeful tonight - a top side has to take their chances and Saints didn't. Match was theirs to win.
