"I've decided to return to Hull City where I'll try to do my utmost for a successful pre-season."

For the tweeters amongst us, there's a some quotes from Ghilas on here:

    http://twitter.com/#!/KISSERmag

They're from an interview he gave to an Algerian magazine recently.

I don't think it will be up to Ghilas. Isn't he on high wages?

I'd love to see him given a chance but I can't see it.

Good news indeed, I think he could be a great player with the right teammates.

Unless the club don't want him

Didn't he stop eating for some religious holiday and turn ****? He didn't get chance to show how good he was but if he is on a high wage I would rather he left.

not having seen Ghilas play in person I can't really comment, but surely he should be at least given a chance, even if the intention is to sell him on, if we play him and he plays well he may get the attention and we might get some decent money for him, at least thats my opinion. I just think we can't just cast of players without a fair chance

He's certainly got one attribute that will serve him well in this league if he gets a chance....pace.

He had pre-season 09/10, several first team games and a load of reserve games to impress Phil Brown and failed. He had pre-season 10/11 to impress Nigel Pearson and failed. I said earlier that I'm happy to wipe the slate clean and I hope he's a success but I wish people would stop pretending that a guy who turns up for training 5 days a week hasn't had the chance to impress.

I always thought he had plenty of potential - he has bags of pace and would be useful on the wing in my opinion..

If he wants to show his worth and play, fair enough he deserves a shot but he needs to show it on the pitch. He has to show it during pre season though or else it's curtains, aside from the Bolton game he hasn't really pulled up any trees when given the chance.

N Pearson didnt bring him in , so he's no chance. he's getting rid of the previous regime slowly.

Barmby, Garcia and Dawson are still here though aren't they? I guess he's getting rid of certain players (Folan, ***an, Macca etc) as they aren't up to scratch for this league and don't fit into NP's plans. I think most managers make some sort of clear out when they get to a club to stamp their authority on the team, it's not something unique to us.

If Ghilas had been the shooter then Lennon would still be alive.

we shall see about Barmby , Garcia and Dawson - Garcia already half way out (injured or not) , Barmby not so sure, Dawson, cover for dudgeon. Guess time will tell.
ps dont think he shot john Lennon, according to the papers.

Barmby was out of contract and not only did Pearson give him a new one, but he appointed him youth team coach.

Garcia was also offered a new contract, it's not Pearson's fault that he didn't sign it, then got injured for nine months(he still might get one).

Ghilas looked like he couldn't give a **** in pre-season last year, maybe that's NP's fault too, maybe he put Strychnine in his Lucozade Sport ?
