One question...what role would he actually play and who would he replace....wait that's 2 questions!!!!

He's not a target man so OBZ would have to play which means replacing Charlie.....doesn't make sense, back up maybe but not first choice....

 

He will replace Charlie when liverpool pay £20 mil for him :-(

 

I think we just need the options up front. We also shouldn't commit to purchasing a player until the Summer when we know what league we're in.

Either Keane or Defoe would be ideal for loans (not permanent signings) IMO.

Agree with Stan, should be looking at a Troy Deeney/Jordan Rhodes type player. Defoe and/or Keane will have a premium wage tag which will upset the team spirit, and would not replace Austin up front anyway

Keane on a winter pay per game would be ok. He seems to keep fitter than Defoe, and scores a lot.

 

Tell you one thing for sure, some club/competitor of ours is going to get him (Hull/Lester?) and he will score valuable goals. Then in March it's back stateside, so the opportunity is right now for 12-14 weeks tops. Can't see the difficulty.

 

For me no thanks, but I guess beggars can't be choosers and he would be better from nothing.
