I want to make a VERY serious point here about uefa coefficents. This is crucial to our clubs future as much as trhowing up stands as it determines so many things like seeding etc First we need to qualify for SOME european competition every year and second.... by losing to basel and drawing with ludo we've done **** all for our coefficent this year... even city have got more than us!!! imagine by some miracle we wcrape 4th this year.... we will be back still as 3rd seeds next year Here is the bare faced FACT Everton: 9.714 points s far this year Liverpool: 8.714 this year. whlie we are still higher ranked than them if we keep this muck up we are going nowhere. better win this one! I think the crowd is fragile so rodgers needs to have some bottle and say that these lads better give the crowd somwthing to feed off early. If we start slow the crowd will be very quiet.... its a travesty how weak willed it is now. nobody has much belief. everyone is waiting for someone else to go do something
both actually. the team are like a bunch of headless chicken all looking for someone else to show the way, hence the really slow starts. I bet anyone if i stick suarez back in coutihno and stelring wake up instantly and work 50% harder... just for instance. the crowd in the last matches have basically given about 10mins and quietened down as the pattern establishes itself. In prior years... even ignoring last years 11 match run where its easy to be up... if a big game like this rolled round nothing on earth would quieten the crowd. I mean ok... stoke aint a great example but f m all you could hear was stoke fans.. its like get in sing YNWA, sit down shut up... maybe barrack a ref a bit and then wait and see. I'm hoping i see an anfield european night where the crowd is rocking the place all game. Basel play in europe every year. they play in far more "hostile" places but still... anfield can still unsettle them... we need every hope.
